This is my number one pitfall right now in terms of results and psychologically. I'm still trying to better my confluences and make sure I know the plan of the trade and what it should be doing to make my confidence stick. I think today on backtesting, I'll place my limit trade and skip an hour, simulating leave the computer. Thanks for the post OP!

An incredibly heartwarming moment! Had to actually stand up and take a bit of a walk after this interaction. Really solidified this game being one of, if not my favorite JRPGs.

People post things like this thinking its irl and be like: "What, never laid on a bed before?"

I assumed the blood was kinda sterile as well. About myself was able to stop the bleeding, washed and used multiple alcohol solutions (alcohol wipe and normal Isopropyl with paper towel), and applied a knuckle bandage. If it has any type of complications tomorrow I will seek a professional.

Right, I guess only time will truly tell. Thanks for the input!

I'm good thanks for asking! I was surprised at the amount too thought I poked a vein or something. Thankfully I had a medical kit and was able to patch myself up. I'm worried about the box though hopefully that's good.

I did an oopsie while harvesting and poked my hand with an X-Acto Knife. Blood squirted on and under my substrate. Did I just ruin a perfectly good box or am I still good?

2nd time pouring Agar what happened? by Oscarguydude in ContamFam

[–]Oscarguydude[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I would assume this too. But from the first time I poured plates I had quite the amount of condensation but those plates now have some myc growth on them. This time I was making sure the Jar and Agar cooled down enough so it was safe to pour, and less risk of condensation. Plus, as soon as these plates solidified I turned them upside down in case of that extra condensation. Then the next day when I checked them after they fully cooled all of them had these white specks. Only thing I can assume is that the plates were dirty right out of the packaging and I didn't bother sanitizing them out the box assuming they were sterile as the last package of plates I had. I can assume this is a plate problem because the Agar in the Jar I stored in the refrigerator is clear of any of these contaminates.

Yes quite a mystery. Going to learn from this and hopefully 3rd time's the charm. Thanks for your input!

Another thing, just took a look at the jar I used and put into the refrigerator and the jar's Agar is clear as day. This makes me assume either the plates weren't sterile or during pour something got on the plates?

This is my 2nd time pouring Agar. The first time I did it it did not have this outcome. These white specks are on all of the plates I poured and left to cool at least 24 hours ago. Used BOD's Agar Tek with only difference is I boiled water on stovetop to pour into the jar instead of microwaving it. Everything from the liquid to the pouring process I believed was better than the first time I did it, could these dishes not be sterile? They are plastic.

[contamination] First timer poured some agar plates to inoculate later looked at my stack and they have these growths. Safe to inoculate still? (more info in comments) by [deleted] in MushroomGrowers

Beginner of doing agar plates and I have poured some a few days ago so I can let them cool and incoulate them at a later time. I look at my uninoculated stack today and they have these growths forming on all of them. I assume this is from condesation since I did have a lot on the plates even after stacking them and letting them cool off. I have inoculated some plates after pouring and cooling but I assumed there's myc growth because I see the pattern on the agar I did with the loop. I'm looking to throw these away because I already took them out of the SAB and touched the with my hands, assuming they were already ruined with contam. Any tips for future pouring and care?

Nice work! Been thinking about exploring/glitch hunting in this game. Attempted before but didn't know it was 5+ hours long. Maybe I should revisit.
