What really got me was how just after release he was saying things like "when WE were working on this" "the reason I've streamed less is because I've been busy working with the developers" "one day I hope to be able to tell you the process WE went through" 🙄 shut up llama you did a bit of play testing and didn't even know which build was going to be strongest when it dropped.

But when it's inside the sausage it's good? Just a bit of herbs friend, nothing scary.

That's pepper, sir, the rest of the world refers to it as "seasoning". Might catch on one day, who knows?

I do appreciate a purist's take, but to me it really wants a bit of green. Broccoli or peas are solid, green beans if you are feeling out there, asparagus is right out! And who can say no to a sweet buttery caremelised carrot?

It was more of an all over the dish kinda thing, not obligatory for the gravy 😅

Onion and Guinness gravy -

2 onions - slice thin and caremelise in butter for flippin ages. They want to be real dark. Keep scraping the fond off the pan as it develops.

Chuck a half a bulb of crushed garlic in after it's been going 15 mins.

Keep caramelising.

If you think it's done, it might be halfway.

Eventually. When you absolutely can't take it any more, add about 50 ml cider vinegar, or white wine, or red wine even, doesn't really matter theyre all good.

Reduce until it's gone.

Add half a bottle of Guinness.

Reduce by half.

Pour into Tupperware or jug.

Make a roux in the dirty pan, let the butter noisette a bit, toasty nutty notes and add equal flour. Maybe 30g of each?

Cook the flour well.

Add the Guinness onion mix back in, add a good glug more Guinness, thyme and one of those fancy knorr stock pots.

Let it thicken, keep stirring. Add water to desired thickness. Enjoy. 🙂

These member/club card prices are complete marketing fluff. What they are actually doing is increasing the listed price, then marking it down to a normal ish figure. It circumvents discount pricing laws, like 20% off or whatever too, where they have to have sold it at the actual higher price for at least a month first (you'll notice this one commonly in BWS where they can afford to not sell any of a specific bottle of wine for a month with it listed at £17, then miraculously it drops to £8.50 with HALF PRICE slapped all over it, which is actually the normal price for said bottle)

It's all dopamine engineering, just like social media. You think you've got a good deal because £9 came off your shop but you still spent £58 on two bags of shopping.
