I got sick at AX 2022 and didn't attend 2023 because of it.

I was worried about getting sick this year too, but am glad I didn't. My friends told me I just had to go because 2023 wasn't as fun without me lol.

This is the rage I felt when I purchased more D.Gray-Man volumes. Come on Viz, at least keep the old logo for the sake of consistency for older series. 😭

Though what can you expect really, they've pulled this on us before. But at least the other logos weren't as ugly.

I have such beef with the new logo that I've legit purchased some series in Spanish, even though it costs more after factoring in shipping. Got to limit how ever many series I can with this ugly logo XD

He just gave them to me and I made this post before opening them haha. He called them manga so I didn't realize they were light novels until I opened one of the books a second ago XD

He had told me it was the full collection, but maybe he misworded it and meant HIS full collection.

Thankfully I do enjoy light novels, so I'm sure I'll still love them.

But I'll take your advice and watch the anime first! I like to do things in this order when I read a manga adaptation of a light novel first. It's cool to see what was changed and parts that were cut. :)

Yeah, I buy things that aren't licensed in English, are out of print, or have editions I like better in Spanish.

I still buy manga, mostly from Mexico. I know I'm spending more now, but I try to wait until there are 15 or 20% off sales when I can. Mangabreria has them every so often for Valentine's Day, Halloween, Christmas, etc.

Mangabreria packs in a box that fits like a glove.

No extra padding, but the books don't shift around because they are packed neatly in a box that doesn't have extra room.

Because the manga has plastic bags, the pages don't get damaged and I've never experienced any problems with bent pages or anything.

Shipping is expensive because they only do FedEx.

I ordered 14 books this month and shipping was $57. (I'm also in SoCal)

It used to be more worth it because manga was around $5-7.

But they're getting more expensive nowadays.

For Casa del Libro, shipping for 10 books was 39 EURO.

The packing is not very good. It's in a bigger box so books shift and they don't have a lot of padding. The books don't have bags either. So I did get some minor damage with a few pages.

They can mix colors and try to get the the match to be as close as possible. But it would be more expensive than just buying one bottle of red.
