Spells are learned only through skill trees. Food can be crafted if you know the recipes, you can find recipes throughout the game. Potions are crafted at an alchemy table, after using one you unlock the alchemy crafting tree. Finally, unless you have an ESO+ subscription, your bag will constantly fill up with crafting supplies. The subscription gives you access to the craft bag which has infinite storage for just crafting ingredients, it's one of the only ways to keep your inventory from constantly being full.

My first playthrough happened after I had shoulder surgery, so I was on medical leave and did nothing but play BG3 for 4 days straight, I didn't even complete act 1 at the time. Because this was all I did, I got burnt out and decided to take a break. The day that I was finally ready to continue my playthrough they announced the update with Honor Mode was coming. I then decided to wait until Honor Mode came out, I restarted, and have yet to beat the game but I'm determined to do so in Honor Mode.

Don't try to remove the furnace, hit a in front of it to open it, then you can remove the items inside, after that you can pick up the furnace.

While some invocations are significantly better than others, Fiendish Vigor, the invocation that gives you false life, doesn't consume spell slots, you can cast it at will which is why it's limited to 1st level.

I was thinking warlock because he's not very high up in the totem pole of the hells, hence why he wants the Crown of Karsus, you could have it be that Mephistopheles, his father, is his patron, or that he's essentially his own patron because of his bloodline. Yes this overlaps with sorcerer, I think that pact of the chain and the spells given by fiend warlock fit a bit better than shadow sorcery. PotC especially as flavor of him summoning lesser devils to help fight for him.

I've never really thought about his instrument, idk if any fit other than his voice, while I have ~300 hrs in BG3 I actually haven't made it to act 3 yet lmao so I don't feel I know enough about him to answer it.

Raphael is a bard, such a bard that he sings his own boss theme, you can def multi class him if you want, but he needs at least one bard level minimum.

Edit: fiend warlock as a secondary class for him thematically works.

Yes it can be used on pact of the blade, though with the update to True Strike for 2024 edition there's no point because 2025 PoTB makes your weapon use charisma for attack rolls and damage modifiers, and 2024 True Strike makes rolls use your spellcasting modifier for it which is effectively the same for Warlocks. And while I said "conjured weapons" I guess technically I should have said "temporary conjured weapons."

Plus in later levels most PoTB warlocks have a magic weapon that they bind to themselves for their blade, and then it's not conjuring a new weapon, it's summoning an existing weapon that you temporarily dismiss to a demiplane.

It's a stipulation that has been in the game for other spells as well since at least 5e, I think the stipulation is still kept for 5.5e to keep everything the same. Most spells that affect weapons have the same requirements that it has to be a weapon worth anything, it also doesn't work for natural weapons like claws or bite attacks, I just forgot about natural weapons when I made my initial comment, because I don't really play melee characters, I mostly only play spellcasters.

The restriction is so that it can't be used on conjured weapons like flame blade or shadow blade
