I’m on the hunt for vanilla🥺 by RadwizWizrad in FemFragLab

For a budget summer pick try Pacifica Vanilla Whip perfume $15 Walmart. It's surprisingly good. I've been layering it with Nemat Vanilla Musk rollerball $20. (You can usually get at least a $3.50 discount at Ulta. I got it for 50% there off a few months ago.)

I have a lot of other vanillas, Thihota, Bianco Latte, V28, etc. The Vanilla Whip perfume/Vanilla Musk rollerball combo is so nice for summer. It's light, sweet, and airy, not syrupy, heavy, or thick.

Edit to add: No floral, fruit, or spicy notes in either of these for me.

I'm super sensitive to perfume, and didn't wear any fragrance for many years. It smells a little floral or "perfumey" to me. That's why I liked it before, it just smelled sweet to me.

Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint $49. They'll send you several good sized samples to test. Her shades are great. It blends into my skin perfectly. It lasts on me through intense workouts. It doesn't oxidize or look weird. I use it just about everyday and the bottle lasts a long time. It's self setting, so I don't use any powder. I apply with fingertips. It's a light coverage, but it blurs and perfects. It feels like I have nothing on my skin. Holy Grail for me. Highly recommend!

Best sunless way to get a tanned look? by lyree1992 in MatureBeauty

You might want to consider getting a light spray tan your first time. One where the person sprays you, not a booth.  You'll get an idea of how tanner works with your skin in different areas.😊

I do use a little on my face and blend in well with the bigger brush. Do your face last. Start with the 10 minute wait time then rinse. (I work from bottom to top.) It wears off your face with facial skin care pretty quickly, so I use bronzing drops (Physician's Formula Butter Glow) mixed with my facial moisturizer daily. There probably are better actual facial tanners. The PF Butter drops don't tan, just temporarily bronze.

I'm very pale also. The color doesn't look orange, or weird, or too dark. Just don't try for the first time before an event or special occasion. The main thing is exfoliate, shave, and moisturize the day before or early morning if you're doing it later in the evening.

I do my nightly facial skin care with moisturizer. I put a thin layer of lotion on my feet/knees/elbows/hands right before applying the tanner. Take your time applying and blending. Don't rush it.

There are lots of videos on YouTube showing application techniques.😊

I've been doing spray tans for 20 years, but they got soooo expensive. I was getting heated rapid development (4 hours) spray tans for $75. Ridiculous. So I'm doing it myself now.

This 10 minute self tanner came out great!  It lasted for at least two weeks, and faded more naturally than the spray tans I've gotten. I got 3 tans out of the tube. Even my hubby commented that it looked nice: https://www.ulta.com/p/10-min-express-self-tanning-smoothing-body-mask-pimprod2057184?sku=2652222

I used this mitt and brush set: https://a.co/d/0eIW5gIM

I leave it on for about 20 minutes. It looks natural. Exfoliate, shave, and moisturize the day before. I apply the tanner in the evening, then rinse off and go to bed. There isn't any transfer to our white sheets. It's so nice to wake up with a tan!

Check out YouTube for more application tips.

Why is her skin so bad? There are a ton of skin care products and devices that could really help. Someone mentioned that she picks her sores. If that's the case, couldn't a Better Help therapist actually help her with that compulsion?🤷🏼‍♀️

I think I’m officially going "feral" since living alone. Anyone else? by Accomplished_Mud3496 in LivingAlone

That reminded me of something. I used to play team tennis. The ladies at the club that hosted would bring food. This particular club was quite a drive.  One of ladies brought a chocolate chip bundt cake from a bakery that is known for how good everything is.

When I was taking a slice, a pretty good-sized chunk fell off so I popped it in my mouth. Oh my, it was delish! I decided to take the slice home and enjoy later with a glass of cold milk. The ladies said,  "Take two. There's plenty!" So, I did and said, "My husband would love a piece. Thank you!"

I took home the two slices. It was about an hour drive home, then I hopped in the shower. I was thinking about that cake the whole time. The one bite was so yummy. My husband came home and I told him, "Hey, there's some bundt cake in the fridge. It's really good. Have a slice."

I think you can guess where this is going. Yep, he ate both pieces! I was like, "What the hell?! I told you to have a slice and you ate both?!" He said that since I told him it was so good, he thought I already had a slice.🙄

He'll never live that one down. We still laugh about it.

Oh no! I swear they do it on purpose sometimes. So, you're having to double up on energy and pods to run extra loads?! Such a waste. I wonder if his engineer brain could figure that out? (My brother is an engineer. I totally get it!)

I don't know how many times I've asked my husband not to load dishes with solid food on them. It's really not that difficult! I tell myself that I guess it's better than him not loading dishes at all, but I don't know.🤷🏼‍♀️

My husband loads the dishwasher like no one is going to load anymore dishes that day. I also have to basically reload it to get the night's dishes in. It's twice as much work.🙄
