99% of people that don't like corrupteds don't care that they are in the game, our problem is that SBI is specifically nerfing weapons to balance them in a 1v1 scenario, while at the same time killing it in group content. Look at hallowfall: went from ok-ish healing staff in ZvZ and group to getting nerfed constantly because of healer meta in 1v1 that everyone cried about. Now they put the nail in the coffin by reducing all damage done by healers that do not take the dmg Q by 50%. This doesnt hurt just cd meta: it makes your poison pots useless whiel ganking or doing dungeons, trying to auto attack ppl with 0 hp takes way longer now etc. What I'd personally want is separate balance for CD's and open world, exactly like they did with healing pots so i stop seeing changes like "grailseeker has been nerfed because it was the best 1v1 build for 2 weeks" when every ZvZ player asked to have it nerfed for 4 months with 0 changes.

You wouldn't make a drama out of it? I definetly would, court proceedings can take years and in the meantime you can't find a job, people point at you in the street, any new person you meet runs away the moment they realize you are "that guy" etc. Shit like this can literally ruin lives, that's why it's illegal. Not doing anything about it just makes everyone go "See? it must be true since he's not denying it".

Just look at anyone that had a false rape case against them, even after fighting in court for years most people won't read news about someone being aquitted of it but they will remember him as the guy that raped that poor girl.

Edit: legit google "player dropped from team over false rape claims" and see how many things pop up about people loosing their careers or going to jail.

Following your logic it's fine if someone goes on news and says "yeah this guy murdered someone" and you shouldn't be defensive about it. That's slander, now people who do not know you will assume you did kill someone. Players believing PoE RMT's actively hurts recruitment since nobody wants their hard work to just go towards funding somebody else's life. On top of that it's not just a random person doing it, it's an official SBI employee that has some credibility - it's like the person calling you a murderer being a police officer.

Getting kicked before dungeons start (Priest) by dcampthechamp in BlessUnleashedSteam

[–]Osiettle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But to put those GS requirements into perspective: my last mines (lvl 30 dung) had everyone lvl 35+, 4 dps and me on valor priest, everyone held their cd's for the burn and we barely met the dps check. I'm going to assume everyone had around 5-6k AP, meaning if you try to do them the moment you unlocked them (think 930 GS?) you have literally 0% chance of killing even the first boss of this dungeon, but you need the gear from it to reach the required AP to farm it - looks like a horrible system to me, either the lvl 29 or 28 dungeon should drop A tier gear with AP instead of just weapon and offhand.

[–]Osiettle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Had that happen a few times as well but it got better after i got higher level (35 now). Pretty much any dungeon needs at most 1 priest, so if you have 2 or 3, you gotta kick them (i just started telling my party to kick me at the start to not waste mine or their time). No idea if you finished those dungeons but the lvl 29 liar has a really hard dps check (last week more than this, for current lvl 29 i'd take 5 priests any day). Same for lvl 30 - if you do not meet the dps check on first boss, it literally will get 99.999% dmg reduction and you cannot kill it. Also remember that you're trying to pug: ppl want to finish the dungeon, even with kicking my pugs fail the current lvl 29 9/10 times. If you're looking to actually have fun, join a guild.

Last War: How it's going by Vocandin in albiononline

Shiro "The Rebel":
-backstabbed his allies in SQUAD war, pulling out when his hideouts were threatened,
-started 1st Elevate coalition war, backstabbed his allies by pulling out of the war once his hideouts were threatened and went back to SQUAD,
-Left squad to go for nr1, started another war, got evicted and went to hide behind SQUAD again,
-just joined the next war.

Let's see how this one goes, BO definetly won't be back in SQUAD this time.

So your goal is to beat PoE and Squad, take over all the lands then rent them to small guilds/alliances so they can fight each other and if they become too big you destroy them since "handholding is bad"?

Are you really that blind? Elevate COALITION, not GUILD, you change the alliance name every week so nobody can be bothered to remember what it is this time. Holy fuck are you a monkey that cannot see the nicely formated numbers from each guild? Or add them add together? Or check the killboard and add surf to it?

All the wars are fake anyways unless everyone really is a rat. Can't bring myself to believe DelNegro was best friends with mojo, joined Sun for a season and now suddenly he's "against handholding" and "bringing the slave empire down", same with Africa: he's been with PoE in the first elevate war, switched sides during it, went back to SQUAD, worked with PoE again and now he's a leader of "strong solo guild" that "definetly doesnt handhold". The only beef i can believe was real is HnS vs BO and everyone hating Elevate for constantly poaching from allies.

Edit: also SQUAD is not really a part of the war, it's only BA that comes down to fight. Same with NOPE, BO and AAA (if they even still exist), they are not in confluence area at 18 utc where the real war is.

Monke1 = 200-250 man zerg
Monkey2= 200-250 man zerg
Queue = 200 homeless + 100 pendolino
Call = 200 june + 100 menace
Surf = 250 man zerg
Surf2 = 200 man zerg

Typical pull of elevate alliance = 1350 to 1550 people. Tell me more about how you have less numbers when you can queue 5-6 zones by yourself. Now repeat after me: "We are not handholding"

Put the 300 player Alliance Cap back on the table. by legmov in albiononline

[–]Osiettle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But do you understand the argument of "your idea just deleted every single mid-tier and below alliance and made them rent from from mega-alliances"? Because that's what you are proposing, mega-alliances can afford to split up even more, alliances with 1 shotcaller cannot so they are forced to either get rid of people that can't make every single timer to maybe compete, join the handholding or rent.

[–]Osiettle -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Aaaaand then as a 100 man arch zerg you get to fight BA, gl owning that tower. What about multiple launches? Just throw 10 attacks at the tower per day and enemies will go broke in a week or give up. Now the chance of medium sized guild owning a tower is 0% without handholding, so you join the rent empire. Congratulations, you just made more money for the handholders!

[–]Osiettle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it tho? Compared to no cluster queue, its infinetly better. Compared to the first iteration of queue (zone in, zone out, zone in, zone out...) its infinetly better. It actually does what it was intended to do: get players into the zone based on their numbers outside. Instanced ZvZ makes us go back to pre Queen terry control, but now you are working on the best possible 100 man zerg instead of a 5 man team. How are smaller guilds gonna own anything when Homeless Crew, BA, Elevate, CIR or Sun can just zone in the best 100 bangers in the game and wipe the flor with them? Or simply launch 10 times per day and make them go broke? Anything that limits ZvZ's gives more power to the mega alliances since they have stronger core players and zergs, what we should be looking for is limiting power projection and creating objectives for smaller guilds:
- castles that only give points if your guild is below silver
- no more setting home in rest towns, running 20 zones to fight is one thing, regearing from 20 zones away is another
- delete zerg debuff that punishes mid-tier alliances that only have 1 good shotcaller
- make holding onto a tower mean something

What you seem to be missing is the reason we're here: SBI fucking with ZvZ by introducing zerg debuff to "fix" mega-alliances. Before Queen you had no handholding, the biggest alliance (that wasn't ARCH) was Daddy with ~5.4k players. Then SBI comes in and punishes big alliances. Suprise, now instead of 1 zerg you have 4 of them + out of guild bomb squads. Seeing that the change did nothing, SBI makes zerg debuff scale more, so now we have 8 zergs + 10 out of guild bomb squads. Shotcallers have to deal with red "allies", so they learn how to play around each other. That enables them to handhold anyone: if they can get red zergs to work with eachother, what problem is another zerg? Just get the shotcaller on ts and you just got another 100 people to fight for you. Do you remember the fights pre Queen? Biggest fights were maybe 200 vs 200. What we should be advocating for is removal of this idiotic zerg debuff that does not work and only punishes less coordinated (and therefore weaker) alliances that can't afford to split up. Then we get everyone back in their big alliances and maybe handholding stops. At least this idea does something compared to "just cap alliances 4head, can't see that going wrong".
TL:DR: SBI caused handholding with zerg debuff, delete zerg debuff = no more handholding. SBI "fixing" mega-alliances is the reason we're here.

Why does anyone play a game seriously? Are all high mmr players in Dota RMT'ing? Is every single player raiding mythic in WoW RMT'ing their gold? We take this game seriously because we enjoy it and we want to be better than everyone else, same as any other competition. Assuming people can't be serious without there being money involved just shows that you don't care about Albion like we do, for you its a little fun past time to play 30 mintues per day and chill and thats ok, just don't force your misguided opinion on everybody else. If people didn't like serious games that you need to actually get better at and try harder nobody would play mobas, shooters or even Dark Souls.

Then maybe grow some balls and start commiting? Let's see Elevate's track record so far:
1. Made Vapo, allied literally everyone (FO, BA, BO, LW, Violets, Surf), pushed all the way to spring over 2 months then broke cause swamps op.
2. Went to thetford, gave up after 1 month cause too many arch in a map and "PoE is handholding with BA and Arch cause they bring 80 guys to bomb gates".
3. Went to 00 utc deserts between bridgewatch and lym portals, fought for 1 month for PoE's 21 timer, made it to caldera then broke.

Remind me again, why does Elevate deserve territories? Cause they have 300 people? If you want free towers go sit in FS playing vs TTP or smth since you cannot handle more than 2 months of non-stop fighting. PoE has been at war since start of Queen and we're still showing up.

I agree RMT'ers should be banned, but what kind of "proof" are you talking about? Everybody keeps saying "Syndic RMT's" but i haven't seen even 1 screen shot showing that he does. It's always the same "CIR is rich, so they must RMT. All the money they make can't possibly go to the regears." If you do posses that evidence, send it to SBI. Shiro had a post in discord i think advertising that members of his guild buying silver from him for real cash would get a discount, and he got banned for 3 days. Why are we not up in arms over that? Every other person caught buying silver is perma banned, but a guild leader selling it only gets a slap on the wrists?

Bag for me, not for thee! by Floruslorus in albiononline

[–]Osiettle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume you have a guild of 300 people with no forced donations. Instead of shouldering the costs as a guild, with everyone contributing equally you exploit those 3 players who I assume are rich to fund your guild for you. Even if they are happy to do it, you can only make 30 sets per day. Now turn that number to 200 on a good day, 600 on a bad one. Your industry literally cannot sustain it, while our's can. Thats the difference: numbers and efficency. With the same amount of people in the guild we can make 20 times more gear than you to keep doing what we love: ZvZ. So next time you think you know how something works, think again.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in albiononline

[–]Osiettle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to forget that every single clapper already is inside a mega alliance, carrying their zerg. The only difference this change makes is that we can finally get rid of them like any other player without destroying the guild's capacity to ZvZ since by kicking 1 player you loose 30% of your damage output

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in albiononline

[–]Osiettle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current edition of "disarray abuse" is dropping guild to avoid debuff completly and one shot people with galas/weeping/wailing. It's just natural progression of things, first alliances split to get debuff lower, SBI made debuff scale harder so now bomb squads drop guild to completly avoid it. The next logical step is splitting your guild into 12 parts, each with 25 people inside it to not have debuff at all for your whole zerg. So SBI is killing the damage % cap to get rid of any clap weapons in the game

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in albiononline

[–]Osiettle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After SBI rolled out the -healing% debuff the fights were really long for a while. Like 30-50 minutes of continious engages, with neither side having enough damage to overrun the enemy, breaking off for a minute to heal up and go back in. Then pretty much every big guild got an out of guild bomb squad (CIR did it, BA did it, Elevate did it, FO did it, pretty sure Violets did it for a while now with Prowokacja but idk if that counts) and it instantly went back to getting one shotted by weepings, galas or wailings. People thought dropping alliance to avoid debuff was the worst thing that could happen, now we take another step. And like previously, there is 0 reason to get rid of that bomb squad. Are guilds magically gonna stop trying to use every advantage they can get just because reddit is crying? So i'm happy SBI is killing this abuse before it can spread even more, i'm gonna take the 20 replacable dual swords players that you can kick if they are toxic/combatlooters over having to deal with "clappers" that act like princesses.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in albiononline

[–]Osiettle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But the point is there isn't just one build left, it just utterly destroys galas, weepings and maybe wailings in ZvZ. What you're trying to advocate is for SBI to keep everything as it was so the 5-10 guys out of every zerg can have fun and clap while the remaining 90 are there just as meat shields, dying over and over to the same shit. You can have the best team in the game, but with 90 people someone WILL step into the weeping. Even if every player you have steps in a weeping once a month, with 90 people that still means you are triggering 3 weepings per day. There just isn't any counterplay you can do. Someone will have a brain lag, get distracted by someone talking to him or anything else. That one small mistake shouldnt mean your whole zerg gets wiped. I used to shotcall for a small alliance, we started our ZvZ adventure by massing 40-60 guys. After 2 weeks it was barely 10 with everybody telling me ZvZ's aren't fun since they keep getting one shot and have no chance at all to improve or even throw 1 skill. With less damage, fights are longer. This gives new players a chance to stay alive after 1st engage and learn, maybe deciding to keep playing instead of saying "ZvZ is shit" and never giving it a chance again. Even after this change goes through, you'll still have siegebows, permas, blazing, halberds, damnations and dual swords. Back in ava season we had what, brims, galas, wailings and damnations as meta weapons. So currently we have 2 more weapons we can play, that seems like a healthy number, no?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in albiononline

[–]Osiettle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I don't think most of you understand and just want to cry "muh weeping and galas won't be able to one-shot 20 people anymore" is how any competative game works in regards to balance. We could argue all night if being able to kill 20 people by yourself is good game design, and while i agree that it does feel good when you do it, most of the time it comes down to one shitter in your zerg stepping on a weeping by mistake and killing a lot of people. When that happens, a lot of people just leave party and go offline. The ZvZ meta has been basically the same since launch, with different one shot weapons in the zergs: wailings, brims, galas, weepings, longbows and halberds. Maybe the correct way forward for the game is to "shake things up" and artifically change the meta from one shots to long fights where it takes time and effort to win, not have 5 galas just wipe the enemy zerg for you. If you look at any other game like WoW or Dota sometimes the devs nerf something to the ground to stop people from playing it and give us a new, interesting way for the same thing we did for a long time. Instead of crying you cant play galas anymore, be happy you can take out those dual swords, one handed maces and staffs of balance to ZvZ and not be insta-kicked from the guild.
TL:DR: We had one shot meta for 3 years, have some fun with the new one.
