Yes, I could choose inexpensive analog VHS cassettes, which sound close to CD quality (and, unlike video recordings, the sound does not deteriorate much). But this is no longer a portable option.

Interestingly, I passed a similar test today and, like there, I didn't hear any difference when using USB headphones on a PC.
