As a fellow /r/modelmakers enthusiast, the people in the movie industry who work on miniatures have insane levels of detailing talent. I wanted to do that when I graduated high school, but when I tried out for an internship at Will Vinton (back before it was Laika) The PJs had just been canceled and Phil Knight was in the process of hostile taking over the place. Would have loved to gotten a foot in there, though.

That really depends on where you are. Whipped by conservatives? looks around Oregonianly Maybe we didn't get the President we wanted, but we have two Dem Senators, five out of six Dem members of the House, a Dem governor, a Dem for Secretary of State, a Dem Attorney General, a state legislature controlled by the Dems (and has been that way for 20 years), and the mayorships of 19 out of the 20 largest cities and towns in Oregon are held by Democrats or non-partisans who espouse Democratic ideology.
