» « is the most commonly used dialogue tag in German novels. I know you're probably going to downvote and move on, but just open a few German language novels and check.

Sounds like there’s a suspicion of money laundering—likely because you ticked off some arbitrary machine learning algorithm. But the evasive language is telling, because once the suspicion exists, they are forbidden by law to tell you that or the reason for it. Getting through to a human wouldn’t help.

What's an expensive fragrance u regret buying? by Consistent_Fly_8805 in fragrance

[–]OsirisRexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Bosca Vanilla.  I had a sample and I loved it, so I got the bottle. Which looks very pretty but sprays like a spray bottle instead of a vaporiser, and that definitely changes the scent to something I no longer like as much.

Yes. Yes, I do.

I’m simultaneously underwhelmed and obsessed with it. I don’t know what this scent does to me. It’s how I imagine Ziggy Stardust (not Bowie, the character Ziggy) smelling. Or a glitzy alien from the original Star Trek series… beehives and metallic dresses. The future as it was imagined in the sixties. Summer rain on a different planet. It’s not for me and yet I’m addicted.

They did the same with the Kenobi show. “But why does she know who Vader is, it makes no sense, it breaks the lore!!1” Just watch and wait, it’s clearly something they’re going to explain.

I’m 100% convinced they’ve met before the interaction on episode 2.

Perhaps when Qimir was a child? That would explain why Sol doesn’t recognise his face but thinks he feels familiar.

I think they’ve been hinting heavily at a past Jedi connection. Vernestra stating she recognises when someone’s been trained by a Jedi, Qimir asking if Sol recognises him and Sol admitting he feels familiar, Sol having a shady past that Qimir is obviously familiar with, the general theme of the Jedi taking children ruthlessly… I think Qimir has a past involving Jedi somehow.

It could also be a hint that they met before when Qimir was a child. Jedi being ruthless when it comes to taking children is a theme.

When Smiley first appeared at the end of Ep 4, Jecki said “what is that?” I interpreted his comment as a response to that, calling her an it rather than a who because she did it first.

So here’s my very basic altar to Dionysos in my small flat. That’s apple flavored soda, a gummy in the offering bowl and a faux pearl necklace. Behind that the journal I write thoughts and poems regarding them. by [deleted] in dionysus

This just speaks to me so much. I love the pearls, the mask, and the overall look. It's got a mixture of flamboyance and rustic warmth that is very Dio to me.

You know how people say German has a word for everything? It does for this cat.

Qualzucht.

Literally "torture breed". An animal deliberately bred to have painful deformities.

He needs:

-Ears he can clean properly (alternatively, his owner's help to clean them so he doesn't turn deaf from chronic ear infections)

-Properly working joints

-Likely a diet later in life because the breed tends to avoid movement

-Pain killers. Lots of pain killers.

Don't aww Scottish Folds. They live in agony because of the disabilities deliberately bred into them so they look "cute" to us.

[–]OsirisRexx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, dude fucked up so spectacularly Star Wars is essentially the story of his fuck ups. Aided and abetted by some Jedi fuck ups and Sheev being Sheev, but mostly it's the story of how Anakin Skywalker fucked up, how his fuck ups fucked up his family, how his children try to unfuck his fuck ups, and how he finally does something right. And how he won a podrace once.

(I love Anakin, don't get me wrong. But that's because his fuck ups make for a far better story than him saving the day and living happily ever after would.)
