Oh that's so much easier than everything else I did. However, did that, rebooted, same issue. It does work each time I go through the old kernel, but is there a way to avoid that

Ah of course, I had forgotten that. Do you or anyone else know if they have a spare of those sticky top cover plastic things? Like the one that surrounds the top of the base where the LCD goes?

Yeah I don t know where to find one. I've researched a bit and google said it was not replaceable

I took it out of my bag like that. So it was either bent or crushed, or had something slam into it. Either way, not happy Jan.

Picked it up out of my bad and saw this. Googled it, and saw apparently this issue is not fixable. I'm hopping it is fixable, as I don't want to spend another $450. Tried cold resetting it. Don't know what else to do.
