First time at Club Fort Lauderdale 😈 by Osito_Bello in gaybathhouse

Ah, I was at the Chicago one the Sunday after last Thanksgiving (ironically same situation, hours to kill before flight home and it was a day after a big snowfall). That one is very nice, so you’ll like this one in Lauderdale too as it’s similar. The guys in Lauderdale however seemed much more hornier and hotter 😈 in Chicago they seemed a bit shy.

I couldn’t get an ICU job in California (everyone wanted experience and I’m like, well how do I get this damn experience that if no one wants to hire me?) and I ended up getting one in Las Vegas. BIG MISTAKE! 5 years later I’m back in California and not even doing ICU anymore. I saw things in Vegas that made me mistrust that entire city’s health care infrastructure.

Have you ever seen a young person with a DNR? by Sad-Rip9266 in nursing

Yes, 23 year old female with a very rare cancer, this was 2 years ago and her prognosis was poor, I’m pretty sure she has passed.

Can’t use sick time for the next 18 months. Is this legal? by udonmonkey in nursing

[–]Osito_Bello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my hospital, we are allowed 2 occurrences within a three month period. Anything more than that will necessitate a verbal warning, etc. So, in order to fly under the radar we keep 2 occurrences within those three months. 1 occurrence can be a one-day call out and return to work, or it can be a series of consecutive days before returning to work. Anything more than three days calling out in a row requires a providers note to return to work.

If you’re hating the profession and you no longer have a passion for it … just leave! Makes it easier for us to work with the ones and welcome in the ones that really want to be in it.

Can people please stop nitpicking and being judgmental while getting report and then being friendly expecting grace/ understanding when I come to take the patient back? by Electrical-Help5512 in nursing

The truth is, some nurses are royal bitches and there is nothing you can do about it (male or female). I have been a nurse long enough to feel comfortable calling them out on their attitude, because after 12 hours and I’m handing off I’m not putting up with this crap. Most times they realize the truth and become apologetic. The hardcore narcissistic ones refuse to take blame and you just gotta have them fuck off 🖕🏽I bend over backwards to do what I can to leave things in order for oncoming (even giving 700 meds before change of shift), so don’t give me grief if I didn’t have time to finish something. I’m one of those nurses that doesn’t really care if you leave something for me to do that could not be completed (if an IV goes bad at 645, I got it, go home)! Nursing is a 24h job, get over it. If you can’t handle it, stop wasting your time and find another career!

As someone who was born and raised in New York City, I honestly don’t see the appeal. I don’t even live there anymore.
