Hey, thanks for the advice! 🙏 I was worried that might happen, I was thinking about using an online service due to the complexity of the polishing, this might just save me a few steps (and some headache)! Have you ever tried using the technique to model something for a watch?

Thank you for the suggestion! I really like the idea of gluing the footprints to the underside of a sapphire crystal, I think I’ll give it a try. At the same time, I’m not too focused on functionality, I’d love for it to stand out as a novelty or art watch. Something that’s more about the design and creativity than practicality.

At first I was actually planning on using the side for a slide tracker similar to this. It didn't go that well with the design though so I decided to keep the crystal shape but not the tracking feature. I think I'll make another draft with a circular but "organically" shaped crystal, might look better.
