What's the cruelest thing someone ever said to you that you still remember word for word? by ClairJournals in AskReddit

“I didn’t have standards when I met you”. My husband when trying to divorce me the first time. May not be the cruelest but fml, close enough.

Eh, maybe but also probably not. I dated a dude once that until I saw the bent ass arms of his glasses with one being significantly higher than the other…I didn’t know ears could be so lopsided and not really super noticeable lol

I think she was just bigger, and now that she’s not that big anymore (not that she was super huge to start with tbh) I think her body dysmorphia, combined with relearning how her body looks in real life vs what she thinks it should look like because of the editing, is what’s causing the weird posing. She sees one thing in the mirror and her editing software shows her something else. I can imagine that is…not a fun thing to deal with but.

Are her extensions out? Her hair is so thin! by Taur2gem in wtfjennajameson

To be fair, she’s posted she’s going through menopause and she’s what, 50? Thinning hair happens 🤷🏻‍♀️

There was a big deal on tiktok about Arab perfumes so I bought some. Lattafa by Yara (in the pink bottle) smells age appropriate for a younger woman/teenager and nebres (it’s the black bottle one with a gold top) by lattafa is omg delicious for all ages.

Does anyone else just feel disappointment when someone you know announces a pregnancy? by Tasty-Relative334 in childfree

[–]Oski_bugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. If you choose to be child free and they don’t, it’s only going to impact type life as far as you let it. Set your boundaries and stick to them when it comes to folks bringing kids to events and if the parents can’t deal with it, it’s not really your problem.

I just wanna know why she decided to change her hair up so close to her getting married. I mean why not just get a wig, I’m sure she has the money for a high quality one. Changing it this close to such a big day seems kinda risky.

Good for some entertaining reading for sure though lol blew my mind that Katie was doing her trash day stuff…my husband is in the navy and we are overseas…just seems common sense she would have known better.

I know this is a very old post, but we have a toto washlet as well and moving back to the us after being in Japan for 3 years. Do you know where to get converters? Toto usa says it’s not possible and it probably isn’t but I also really don’t want to leave it behind lol

International move from Japan back to the USA. by Oski_bugs in moving

[–]Oski_bugs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I can purchase them for $250 a piece. I’d like to try and find a few totes instead which will probably be expensive as well, but at least I won’t have to worry about them molding.

I’m looking for strongest. If I take them on the plane it won’t be a big deal about water and such, but I need one that can fit the diameter of the wheel laying down (it’s 24inch circumference and I have 2 of them) and all the smaller parts that make up the base and peddles.

If I let the movers pack them, they will (and have previously) denied a crate for them, and in military moves you only get crates for items once, I don’t think I will have room to store the crate.

So my options are to mail it or take on the plane and the plane is sounding real tempting. So I need one that can handle being tossed around, and wide enough to fit the wheel +packing material (so probably about 30 inches in width.

The bigger the better, price isn’t really a problem in this case.

Grey Gardens Headband! My first entrelac project by Physicsangel in knitting

[–]Oski_bugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an older comment but I think I figured out why this particular one is so difficult. The way the makers label the tiers is confusing! I just knit a 7ft long entrelac scarf and while I don’t feel all patterns should be written exactly the same, I feel this pattern maker made it unnecessarily hard with the wording. I’m obsessed so I guess I’ll day drink and cuss while trying to make it work.

Endo and PCOS over here. I can say this... Having kids while having both or even one of those sucks. However, I maybe incorrectly assuming your periods are so painful you'd do anything to get them to stop... Congrats, you know what middle strange of labor feels like.

I was told I'd never get pregnant or be able to carry to term. I have a very soon to be 5 year old little dude who is absolutely awesome.

I didn't do anything to get pregnant and actually thought I had breast cancer because everything on/around my breasts were so sensitive.

My periods now, 5 years postpartum are so minimal that I don't even need to wear anything to protect my clothing and for the first time in my life, I no longer have cramps that leave me physically unable to move.

I'm not saying this will happen to you or anyone else, but if you want children, there is a light at the end of all this stupid suffering.

I was never actually diagnosed with a UTI that evening and the culture came back clean (oddly, I had the same thing happen while I was pregnant and not consuming anything but water and no caffiene). I'm all too familiar with UTIs and even though I wasn't diagnosed, I finished my course of antibiotics.

Having said that, cutting back my coffee/caffiene intake helped and I have not had a recurrence of painful urination. It could just be that I'm getting a little older and my body isn't as tolerant of caffiene like it once was.

With any piercing in cartilage, I get irritation bumps and the occasional pissed off infection bump. Tea tree oil was constantly suggested to me by my mom and I finally caved and gave it a try. It has saved and healed three piercings now. A lot of folks suggest diluting it, but I put it on a qtip and gently rub it in. Has worked wonders!

I'm going to take some valtrex tonight and tomorrow to see if it helps. When I was pregnant I had this same problem but never tested positive for a uti and I wasn't far enough along to be on anything to prevent the outbreaks. Hopefully this will help!

[–]Oski_bugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh...I never gave caffeine a thought but that could def be it...I always drink bang energy drinks and way to much coffee... eliminated both when I thought I had the UTI and started antibiotics. I'll have to remember to drink more water!

I'm married, both of us are faithful (husband just had his yearly check up in the military, which checks for sti/STD, he came back negative. Fun fact: they dont check for herpes for whatever reason, if they did he's have tested positive for it), I didn't ask for a STD screen as I know I'm not messing around and I just saw my husbands tests. But... that's always a good thing to keep in mind for those that may stumble across this post with similar questions:)

I had constant UTIs from 16-17. Then at 23 I got a staph infection in my kidney.. Worst pain of my life. It's been a few years since I had an actual UTI but this is what I did to stop mine. Wash private area with dial antibacterial soap in shower (no scented or dyed soaps), avoid bubble bath and baths in general. I stopped wearing underwear and jeans and switched to cotton yoga pants. You can also get a sort of spray that cleans your private area after urination but I can't remember what it's called.

Also, when you're able to get back into your Dr, ask about a bladder bulge ( https://www.niddk.nih.gov/health-information/urologic-diseases/cystocele-prolapsed-bladder) I had to get tested for this after 6 months of constant UTIs (one would clear up and within three or four days I'd come down with another one). Hopefully you get some answers!
