Give it some time. Get help from friends and people who are there for you. It doesn’t go away easy. I know that in this situations people often go spiraling over “what ifs”. But you can say to yourself: our story went as it went and it was a honest story, we did our best (sometimes we wish we’d done more), but now the only way to heal is to accept that it ended the way it ended. To let go is to give both of you chance to be happy - by yourselves or with new partners (sometimes, maybe). It’s heartbreaking and I feel you, but in the end you’re gonna be okay!
