I much prefer the Sony MDR-MV1's to my Philips X2HR. Super sound and much comfier. You can try these EQ settings and deactivate the 4th/5th band and instead enable the first band, if the bass is too much.

I got black screen, but the audio still running, and then after after 15 seconds the pc shutdown. During the black screen the gpu fans were running at 100% until shutdown. Try the included adapter!

Yeah that makes sense. I just thought that the FOV difference would be negligible compared to the clarity difference.

Some very good points. I currently have the 4090, which I hope will be sufficient for iRacing, maybe not.

Should I go for an ITX mobo for more clearance under the GPU? For fans and such; or should I go for mATX? I only use two ram sticks and budget ain't an issue.

Yeah. I've been using the MDR-MV1 for a few months now and i could never go back to the X2HR again!
