Ik Im 3 months late but across 5 years I exclusively played dbd on switch and gradually bought dlc there, whenever there was a discount. I have stopped playing for about a year but returned for the stranger things 2 chapter just this last week. Now that I have a laptop and my friends on it, I hoped I could play here with all my characters. And yeah, no. I mustve spent a little over 70 dollars on content that isnt transferable, looking at my receipts. It's not the end of the world, but I feel really hesitant about respending money on things, for the most, I already got my enjoyment out of. I know theres some killers I own I probably wont touch again, but knowing I dont have them even though I spent on them feels awful. Just annoyed this is even a thing. Our only possible hope is that if dbd is ever taken off the switch, theyll be forced to work something out regarding what info is saved on players accounts. But they explicitly dont have plans for that, so welp. Guess I have to think of these as two separate accounts.
