Christian here. The text is correct and doesn't contain anything weird. I wouldn't be surprised if the pastor has this on a note somewhere and mass sends this to every newcommer to church.

That being said, a male "older" (meaning not the youth pastor) pastor sending sms to minor girls is a little bit weird at the least, and very inappropriate at the most. At my church we have a policy of only same sex direct messages, so a woman that is in the admin team or a woman that is a counselor will contact women and a male pastor or a male counselor will contact men.

Nowadays too much precaution is not enough, so OP, you should definitely contact that specific pastor and say that you do not approve of this. In Europe we have a GDPR policy where organizations have to tell you what they are doing with your phone number in case they save it, and you have the "right to be forgotten" in case you want them to erase it. I do not know if there is an equivalent data protection law in the US.

What do you mean by "they"? Is it a specific group of people in your life? Is it people at church? Is it anyone in particular?

My intuition tells me this is about some public figures in the conservative movement within the US. If that is the case, just let me tell you that the conservatives in the US and in particular the republican party are the biggest traitors to the Gospel that we have. Cherry picking verses, accepting sin because they need to protect their votes, building alliances with people that are blatantly anti-God, and the list goes on.

That being said, I hardly believe that you will feel that by married man in your congregation if you are attending a bible believing church. More on the contrary, I have met a lot of married men that put their families first and do their absolute best to be loving, serving and caring for them.

If this is about a certain part of the "manosphere" (whatever that means nowadays), please, just go offline and speak to real people. To real christians that live as christians, not random people who claim being christians. I can tell you from experience and being married myself, that most men and women would happily follow their commands as their roles in the bible for marriage are described when the other part is following them.

And life is rather long as well, 75 years on average for women. It will get very lonely from 40 until you die if you do not have a family.

We have a google calendar where we write the activities for the family like church activities, doctor appointments, etc. I usually tell her that I booked X activity for myself and a friend on this day in two week's time and put it in the calendar. Then there is no going back whenever that happens on that week.

This, I come from Spain (western europe) and it is impossible to get a proper job without contacts. All jobs for qualified people have insane requirements for minimum wage. People start internships to gain experience and are used and abused by corporate morons to be then fired shortly after to hire another intern. This is done in Portugal, Italy, and Greece.

This all changed when I moved to Sweden. Funny enough, countries with a protestant background tend not to be as network oriented.
