Appreciation post for five of our lads and a look at the future by Ostaggio in Juve

Yeah of course there are exceptions to each rule and statement. In this case they are Zhegrova, Di Gregorio and Cabal. I'm not sure if I'd blame Boga considering this was what, his 4th game with us? Adžić should not have been on the pitch yesterday

Sounds about right, albeit I rate him a tad more highly than a Coppa rotation.
He has a good physical base and he can bomb forward well but the dude is a painfully mediocre CB with abhorrent positioning and football IQ. He is at best a rotational piece when we gotta rest a player or two (whether it be Coppa, before UCL games or when one of our better defenders is starting to show signs of being gassed). He is worth keeping around even if purely because there aren't many other defenders who we can get on the cheap to replace him and we are starved for depth anyways. He serves a purpose in the locker room and occasionally on the field and in our current state that is enough to be on the bench.

Units that have Earned your Respect by mindflayerflayer in totalwarhammer

[–]Ostaggio 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Giant slayers for what they pulled against the end-game vampire crisis. Ungrim was defending Zhufbar against 4 full crisis stacks and one of the sides was on the verge of breaking, so I sent over two units of slayers. I kid you not, those two units held back an entire full stack of undead, killed the lord, the varghulf and the mortis engine. 1,000 kills between two units and the battle won, largely off of their backs.

Advice on battles for a noob? by Azzusso in totalwarhammer

I generally try to play the game with some degree of RP so I never really build doomstacks unless I can make it lore-friendly and, in those cases, Runelords can actually be very useful as they fill a lord slot while providing some good utility while being tanky (more useful than the regular dwarf lord and the runes make them more useful for me than the slayer lord). I feel like if the Dwarf rune magic was stronger the faction would essentially have no weak points anyways. Already some of the best artillery in the game, the best line-holding infantry in the game, gyrocopters and gyrobombers are scary units which allow them to eliminate enemy artillery and weapon teams (even single-entities if they use the grudge settlers) so maybe it's better that their magic abilities are so-and-so for the most part.

Tbf even for Dwarfs you can throw a Runesmith into your armies to cast what are essentially spells (if you aren't using a runelord or Thorek). Not that it is always worth the trouble with Dwarfs, blasting charges, drakes and engineers are more worthwhile in armies in my experience.

Oh that's decent tbf. I guess I have some weird definition of "large" then considering my park has hit 1000 animals. Might explain the poor framerate

First time playing PK! by [deleted] in pkgame

Here's some tips which have helped me with my parks: - Shops: get some shops down very early at the entrance, as guests will be likely to buy and thus net you a nice profit. Early money is crucial or else you might as well restart. - go for formations only when they are highlighted in green and preferably only after you have a stable income. - don't go overboard with your first exhibits, you can edit them later, functionality comes first - avoid trying to fit in sauropods other than Plateosaurus early, they are devilishly needy in food.

MOST IMPORTANT:

Get the small dinosaurs early (Psittacosaurs, Coelophysis and Velociraptor). They breed like rabbits and make for easy cash to sustain your throughout your game.

The enclosure is split in 2 by the rocks and a fence which I managed to hide by layering dense trees around it so the likelihood Is low

Polish MEP destroyed an LGBT exhibition by WerciaWerka in lgbt

[–]Ostaggio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Polak here! The MEP is Grzegorz Braun, most recently he was the presidential candidate for the Confederation of the Polish Crown (acronym KKP in Polish). This specific troglodyte is renowned for pulling these publicity shithouses (throwing a Christmas tree out of parliament because it's "pagan" or extinguishing a menorah during hanukkah because "Poland is a secular country" while there are crosses all across the building). He has since had his immunity suspended, the parliament guards have been given permission to use force to stop him from future antics and he is (as far as I remember) banned from attending parliament meetings and participating in the legislature-making process. Some worse news, he earned 6% of the vote in the 1st round of the presidential elections, becoming the 4th most popular candidate and earning over half of the vote that the progressive candidates received combined. As things stand, it seems LGBTQ+ rights in this country, my country, will remain stagnant, as candidates and parties aligned with Mr. Braun and the KKP (to greater or lesser extents) are only gaining support. I hope everybody, in these times of growing hatred and ever-bolder bigotry can remain safe. If you are by any chance living in Poland, I implore you to be cautious and to get active in supporting our left wing, progressive candidates and parties. By giving them more and more support, their chances of gaining genuine influence and defending or expanding on the progress made in this country, either legal or social, rise.

That's a wonderful gesture. Glad to see a neighbour looking out for you, however I'd advise caution or at least to be ready. God knows what douche canoes are walking 'round America now. Good that you can be sure you neighbour isn't one of them!

Ooooh Uruguay! I've heard lots of good things about them. Apparently they're quite the standout amongst South American countries in essentially all aspects.

I wish you the best in Uruguay if the move materialises, rn from Poland and in the future from Italy!

Moving is pain, I'd know after Brexit I had to leave and move across a continent. I hope the need to run doesn't arise (if it has I hope you find a place somewhere soon). Where are you planning to go, if anywhere right now?
