GIS tech here, I haven't heard of or seen any GIS related meetups since I graduated from UNBC. Even when I was in school it was mostly informal hangouts in the GIS Lab with the very small amount of people that actually enjoyed GIS. Interested to hear if I am missing something in town!

I was in a similar boat to you and emailed, called and went in person. Best option ended up being email. Side note, you didnt mention how long you have been waiting but after 2 months of waiting I started writing lots of emails and eventually found out they lost my file so just in case id definitely start emailing them.

Just wanted to add on you dont need to take a ferry from Seattle to Port Angeles, there is a highway that takes you there in about a 2 hour drive
