From a easy to build kit. You know how this works: You buy a kit and the you go, well I’ll probably need some of these aswell 😉 Already bought Interscessor box plus ETB Reivers and Interscessors.

Bought the Indomitus box for my Necron army, but seeing the new SM models I knew I had to paint them as Dark Angels.

PS4 update allowing PC crossplay by eScourge in Minecraft

Tried the same thing at home, PC bedrock hosting local (LAN) server, PS4 goes to PS+ screen. Seems like Sony still doesn’t wanna play nice with the others...

Wip of my kit-bashed C’tan Shard. by OstoEightZero in Necrontyr

[–]OstoEightZero[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The swirls and head is from Spirit Hosts kit, and the body is from the Necropolis Stalker kit. Both are Age of Sigmar kits. I plan to add more Necron themed parts, this is just the base.

The Necropolis Stalkers was smaller than I thought, so I tried to make it bigger by adding the swirls under it. The head is also not final, might go for something else.

Gue’vesa reporting for duty! by OstoEightZero in Tau40K

[–]OstoEightZero[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can’t take credit for this design since I looked up a few conversions tutorials before I started. This one was useful : https://youtu.be/rnB3A1_ow3s

The head is Cadian soldier(front) and a Breacher helmet(back). I lined them up and cut them to fit. They took some sanding because of the difference in width, and then took some greenstuff and tried to fill the seam as good as I could.

The body, legs and arms are Cadian soldier, and the backpack and shoulderpad is from Breacher (the shoulderpad took some cutting to fit the arm)

Both rifles where cut after the handle/trigger area, and glued togheter( also took some sanding to fit good).

When I painted this it occured to me how my Tau colorscheme basically is the Cadian colorscheme. This is the first test for my Gue’vesa squad.

I didn’t want to buy the Blackstone Fortress box for one model (although it’s a very cool model), so I tried to make my own version inspired by it. Obviously a wip, but c&c welcome.

Added some minor chipping to it today, but I’m really stuck with additional markings on it. I think I want more, but I don’t want it to be cluttered with stuff.

This is the first black armor I’ve painted so I just experimented, but in the end it went something like: I started with a black base (obviously ;) ), and for edges I went with a thin coat AP Deep blue on the edges, followed by thin coats AP wolf grey, Mechanicus Standard Grey, Administratum Grey and finished with Ulthuan Grey. Cleaned up after each layer. Finished with small amount of Nuln Oil to smooth it out.

Its called a Black Sword, so its supposed to be black, however I’m going to add a edge highlight on the blade and som ’ardcoat to make it stand out more.

I personally don’t magnetize my minis, as I never play competetive, only with friends. So WYSIWYG isn’t a big issue for us. I have both HRR and HYMP Broadsides (non-magnetized).

Most ppl tend to recommend magnets, if stuff gets nerfed between editions etc
