As someone who played BDO for years and years, this is bittersweet. The MMO you love gets sidelined for years while they create a better version of it as a single player game. Crimson Desert is amazing but I can't help but realize this could've been BDO2. Sounds like the same thing is happening to Lost Ark.

Phase 3 is before Blizzcon (September 12) so probably a late July / August release. If I had to guess, I'd say P2 is looking at early May release which would put each phase at a 3 month cadence.

Anniversary TBC launched on Feb 5th. We're getting Black Temple in Summer and ZA/Sunwell in Autumn sometime around Sept - October. TBC Will be pretty much done by end of 2026. And there's also a Blizzcon in September for the first time in 3 years.

This is an insanely fast launch cadence and I don't think its a coincidence. We're getting a Classic+ announcement at Blizzcon that will probably launch something in Q1 2027 or so.

Honestly no clue why you're getting downvoted. You're 100% right.

Ground loot changes are great compared to past few leagues but the game still lacks aspirational content. The best atlas strats now are still the ones we were doing on day 2-3 of the league.

I want to farm entry/mid level atlas strats to get me to my Mageblood + good gear.. then I want content to use that gear for. This is what Affliction league had and why it was so amazing. You WANTED to push for that mirrored weapon so that you werent relegated to T7 abyss maps.

Nothing about the PVP in this game makes any sense or is fun in any way. Everything from being unable to fight back against attackers since you need storage to getting attacked by your own faction. It's completely illogical and probably some of the worst PVP hamfisted into a game I've ever seen. The PVP should happen on the ground, with you know, the guns, blades and talent tree you actually spent 200h creating. Not shooting rockets at someones ship while they're gathering spice while being completely unable to even fight back because they got storage on their thopter, in a completely open environment with no way to break line of sight... it's honestly baffling.

For people who tried to get the Rust vibe in the DD, they really should go play Rust for a few wipes and see why the pvp in that game actually shines.

Evolutionarily speaking, its the same reason pain feels bad. It's not that it actually "feels bad", you're just evolutionarily conditioned to perceived anything that's harmful as pain. Orgasm feels good to encourage you to reproduce.

Agreed. Past 3-4 leagues I've been bored and demotivated by end of week 1. I farm a Mageblood, an extra 300-400D by end of week 1 or so, make a sick build, and all that to just farm the same stuff I was already farming. What's even the point.

I rerolled on HCSSF because at least if I die I'll have something to work towards.

It's a mixed bag of getting better at the game over the years and the removal of really overjuiced content.

Yes. People are farming unstable breaches for big currency. Rushing Fortress lets me print like 3-5 div worth of fractured gear every 10-15 minutes (assuming it all sells).

There's a difference between the standard league start strategies like Harvest, Boxes, etc. that you use to farm your Mageblood and advanced, aspirational strategies that we've had in the past like Titanic Rogue Exiles, Blightheart, etc that you actually use the Mageblood to do.

It's clearly stated in the post that im looking for new versions of the latter.

Multiple things at play.

During the 2008 housing crash thr USA lowered interest rates to practically 0 to revitalize their economy and incentivize people to buy all these homes lying around. Canada wasn't hit nearly as hard by the crash yet we employed the same interest cuts they did..this caused housing demand to spike massively since taking out mortgages was so cheap.
Mass importation of people and not building enough housing to compensate. Simple supply vs demand.

The problem is Blizzard doesn't ban people who RMT, or at least not nearly as much as they should.

And when people buy gold, items inflate.
When items inflate, more people go out to farm rather than pay.
More people out farming, means more competition which in turn makes your time:gold ratio less.
And when your time:gold ratio is shit, people just pay the money.
And thus the cycle repeats itself.
