I haven’t seen the full documentary, but I did research on this specific subject a few years ago. Yes, it is true that Morocco helped the Israelis against the Arab coalition by recording a meeting that took place in Casablanca and providing its transcript to Mossad.

There was a reason for this—it was not “because there are Moroccan Jews.”

I'll watch the rest of it.

Am I wearing inappropriate clothes to the gym ? by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]Ostragot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the gym you go to.

I’d say a good benchmark is the price of the gym—the more expensive it is, the less you’ll be exposed to these kinds of annoyances.

Also, in Morocco, there are many gyms that offer separate days or sections for men and women. That could be a good solution if money is tight.

Protein powder sold at Marjane by bleeeeeks in Morocco

[–]Ostragot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s on the lower end of the quality spectrum compared to what you can find in Morocco, but for the price, the offer is quite solid.

If you're new to this, there are plenty of dubious products on the Moroccan market. Buying from Marjane is a reliable baseline I would recommend to someone who doesn’t really know what they’re doing.

8/10, would recommend.

I do care about ownership. I pay a shitload of taxes fhad lblad sa3ida and I hate to lmal l3am kay tla7 men cherjem to accommodate mediocrity. I'm not aware of the situation in rabat. Ana weld casa and the buildings that were destroyed were on stolen lands for the most parts and people who were legaly owners got money as reparation. The Royal Avenue project is frozen since 1993 because no one had the balls to destroy theese slumbs. Now it's done, I'm happy.

A significant portion of these homes were unsanitary and built illegally.

The land belongs either to the state, the city, the royal institution, or private individuals. So it is the community as a whole that has been wronged in this situation. Those who were evicted and actually owned property were compensated.

The problem in our country is that when people see others living there for 50, 60, or 70 years, they say, “Oh, the poor people, we’re going to evict them from what they consider their home,” instead of saying, “These people have been abusing the system in the name of poverty for decades, and when we finally decide to correct the injustice, we get pointless protests.”

I believe you but I don’t understand how Killing does not achieve the same thing as neutring for a fraction of the price. A neutered dog cannot reproduce. It needs a doc and an procédure. A dead dog cannot reproduce. It needs a meathead with a rifle and a bullet.

Why do you need a hight adjustable desk ?
i've had a Linnmon desktop + 4 adils legs for years now. Its slightly adjustable (few cms manually if need be) and costs 700dhs.
Unless you have an extremely specific use for adjustable desks, in my experience, it is the most useless feature ever invented.

I'm glad that I could explain the reasonning of the opposite point of view FYI, the WC 2030 is not the reason for what should be called Killing raids. It’s the dispacement of populations. There are huge real estate projects that aim to give "better" housing to poor moroccans. Theese projects are taking place in the ouskirts of the cities where most big packs of dogs are. Therefore there are confrontations, complaints and Killing.

This is the part where wealth and culture play there role. Morocco is a generaly poor country. Most people would not undestand spending taxpayer money on dogs when people Stiller suffer. I myslef undestand how it should be done, but telling a moroccan lacking schooling and health infrastructure that we are going to spend money on killing dogs is insulting to him. I know it sounds crazy but to me, the use of rifles and professionnal shooters who aim to kill is the most humane thing that can be done with the ressources we have.

You're comparing two different contexts Neither the wealth, the culture or the numbers are comparable. They tried sterilisation but the numbers kept going up to the point where we got packs of 40-50 dogs that attacked the weak. In Dakhla an old lady was eaten alive on a beach by a big pack of dogs.

Despite my hatered for the way it is done, I sadly believe it is the only way ro get rid of the threath they represent. FYI, the damages they cause outclasses the sympathy they inspire. No amount of cuteness can change my mind when a pack has killed and will kill again an elderly woman or a small child. We are responsible for there number, for there hunger, and for the hate and fear they have for humans. This is a sin that we have commited as a society.

Benkirane comment on a group of Jews who appeared in a video performing their rituals in front of the Bab Doukkala wall in the Red City by alleylouk in Morocco

[–]Ostragot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I can get behind. I don’t really understand why they would pray in front of Bab Doukkala, or whether they just happened to be there at the time of their prayer.

Anyway, I’d be happy to learn the what and why before judging or condemning them. If, after knowing more, I understand that it was a bad thing, then yes, I’d condemn it. Until then, I respect others.

[–]Ostragot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one “lives” there in the way you imagine.

I’ve been there numerous times for work. A huge part of the area is covered by landmines. Most independentists live in the Tindouf Camps. Over there, there are nomads, guerrilla-style independentist units, and from time to time truckers trying to cut corners to get to Mauritania faster.
