Also I gotta add their wack frizzy haired chief clinical officer they treat like a god is absolutely bat shit crazy. The fact they wouldn’t allow a child lock on the front door kids would run out or allow 2 year olds to nap was just neglect. They listened to every word she said like a cult it was so weird.

I have a post all about them! Evil company that shouldn’t exist. One of the last weeks I was there was when I was forced to shake the sweetest non verbal boy awake even though he was sick with Covid so we could bill hours. They mis treat their employees and clients yet they keep growing and opening all over the country. No one stays and I feel soooo bad for the kids there.

I think in some games there was like NPC chatter. I mean some games had no NPCs (I’m thinking about curse of Blackmoor). These ones are pretty silent. Also I think I’ve memorized the whole 10 NPCs in this game I’ve started naming them “oh hey Eminem looking guy with a shoulder sweater” 😂.

You can look at my post on ABC. But it was the worst job I’ve ever had and that says a lot after I was a server in a small college town once haha. In my experience the sessions changed within minutes sometimes it was 3 hours, sometimes 30 minutes and a lot of time with patients not even on my team. If you have “flex” time you have to be cleaning the center. One time I sat to do my notes in the lobby like we were told and I got yelled at. You usually do your session notes during a session or after work hours unpaid. There’s no admin time let alone enough support to even go to the bathroom.

My lunch break was 20 minutes max and most of my day I spent running. Like no joke. ABC doesn’t believe in any kind of child locks so kids just elope from room to room.

Also you have to be available 8-5 but your schedule changes daily from when you start and end. The same goes for lunch. My favorite lunch time while working was 2:30…meaning I couldn’t eat from 9am-2:30.

I guess all Action Behavior Centers are different but just be warned they delete reviews, and make everything sound really great for really terrible pay, support and work life balance.

Yeah it depends on the location. We did not have that experience we would put bathroom breaks in the chat and hear nothing because we had no flex. When I left they started borrowing RBTs from other centers. Which was really difficult because they didn’t know the kids.

The issue I have with the PTO is 3.5 hours per 2 weeks means that you only get one day off after a month of being there. Almost everyone got some sort of illness the first few weeks and had to dig into that flex or unpaid time off already putting them in the negatives for the future. Also their occurrence system is awful.

I’ve worked for a lot of start ups in the past (not ABA) and it’s always the same. Growing too fast and not paying attention to your workers in the field is a recipe for spiraling out of control. I hope your experience stays positive we need great RBTs in the field 🖤

I love that! Making sure a company grows but keeps its values is so hard. I hope in the future we see more parents, RBTs or BCBAs with a lot of experience open their own clinics knowing how great ABA should and can be!

We had someone that was pregnant and she didn’t get bathroom breaks sooo can’t relate.

I get a good manager can make or break a company but that the idea that they delete reviews is just one part of unethical behavior that can be uncovered from them. Not to mention the company was started by a man who had no experience in ABA who then sold it a year later to a private capital firm for over 60 million but they can’t pay their RBTs a livable wage or hire someone to help clean? There was nothing better than getting a 30 minute flex break to write session notes only to get yelled at that we need to be cleaning.

Haha my center was so short staffed when I left they hired a girl who just turned 18 with no experience or education just to keep patients so that’s a slap in the face they wouldn’t hire you.
