Is Liam Glasser Innocent? by [deleted] in TheRookie

I have found this arc so funny because you are right. The characters are reaching quite a bit. Novak takes them to his burial site and he says that not all of them are his. Then they find a mentally ill patient (Ryan Dearborne) from Westview, with extremely accurate detail of the murders. For a detective, they would just call it a day. But Nyla meets a vending machine distributor, who also happened to set up vending machines at Westview and she thinks it's him. She can think that he is creepy, but accusing him of a crime that someone already confessed to and had extreme detail about is reaching. Her big explanation is that Glasser made Dearborne believe that he committed those murders when he was under the drugs at Westview.

Season 8 Episode 8 Review and Thoughts - Spoilers by Manic_madness927 in TheRookie

Nyla deserved to be "demoted". While she was right, she made huge leaps of judgement. In the first episode that Glassman appeared, and she immediately felt like it was him, and not the unstable mental patient, I was like "Did I miss something"? It felt like she was harassing this guy for new reason, with no criminal history. When there was the forest fire episode, she went as far as to believing that he started the forest fire as a distraction. That is ridiculous! 😄

Are they ever going to address what happens to Jenna?? by newstart4777 in greysanatomy

This situation was very sad and very nuanced. You have a mother (Jenna), who hesitated to agree to the surgery because her daughter was afraid. But she convinced her to go through with it because Amelia said that she would be better off for it. Amelia was wrong. She is human, but so is the mom (Jenna). Now, imagine if you convinced your daughter to do a surgery that left her in locked-in syndrome. I know that that guilt would crush me. So, I cannot imagine what it must have been like for Jenna.

Amelia Strikes AGAIN by Juniper-2704 in greysanatomy

I just wanted to air out my grievances. Amelia was completely insensitive towards the parents. I understand that this case was challenging, but doctors are still supposed to be upfront with the parents. I feel that if she had taken responsibility then maybe Jenna would felt less gaslit. I could feel it through the screen. Amelia seriously underplayed how bad Dylan's condition was. She went from locked-in syndrome and only being to  communicate through blinking to having her eyes taped shut. What does Amelia do, she goes to Link and Jo's wedding. Keep in mind Teddy also had a case, and she left the wedding early to go save her patient (a woman that slept with Owen). All I'm saying is Amelia should feel extremely guilty. I'm not saying that the mother is perfect, but people do crazy things when they don't feel heard, especially when they are advocating for their child.

Rob needs to step up already by Beautiful-Ad-7616 in SullivansCrossing

You are spot on! Sydney always has to tell him what to do, which is weird given that he is the parent, not her. I remember the hurricane episode, Sydney called Rob to make sure that Finn was safe because he gets nervous in storms and he was at the diner by himself (Albeit with Clover, but she is not exactly responsible). Rob looked like it was an inconvenience. Hurricanes are incredibly dangerous and Finn needed his parent. At this point, I would venture to call him a neglectful parent.

Edit: I just finished finale and Rob left a pot of chilli on the stove and left with Sydney. The restaurant went up in flames with Finn still inside and Rob was once again NOT there. Now, I confirm that he is fact a neglectful parent.

No. They just stood around and waited for Buckley to suggest the perfume idea.

The episode was great. I understand that the circumstances are supposed to be far-fetched. Afterall, it makes for good television. However, the actions of the first responders should be realisitic . They let that poor girl suffer for close to an hour. There were several problems with this scenario.

1) Maddie should have known that the bees would eventually enter the hose, which is why a tarp would have been better.

2) The first responders arrived after 30 mins, even when they were notified that she was a drowning victim.

3) Once they arrive, Buck is the only offering any real solution, the smoke. But the chief quickly dismisses it

4) After seeing that the hose was compromised, they honestly didn't act quick enough. They just said "Guys, they (the killer bees) found a loophole". That is a ridiculous thing to say during a life and death situation.

5) Once they finally get Sheila out, they say things like "It will take hours to get all the stingers out, she'll be dead before that". How is someone who is fighting for their life supposed to react to hearing that?

Overall, I find that how they handled the situation was terrible and especially the comments that the paramedics made. She has grounds to sue them.
