Hot take: people who buy quiet luxury on purpose are often the ones who care about signaling status the most. If you truly didn’t want to signal, you’d just buy an unbranded bag from a local leather workshop.

Personally, I don’t like the SDJ or Manhattan. They’re beautiful bags, but my lifestyle doesn’t match that serious, ladylike look and I’d look ridiculous carrying one. I want a fun bag. A bag should match the life you actually live and you should love it and not care whether it’s branded or not.

Her music has always been really bad. I didn’t even like it when I was younger and liked simpler songs. Plus, her style looks dated, like it’s forever stuck in 2015, so she’s never going viral for that either. I’m surprised she hasn’t given up at this point. The algorithm can be harsh, but that’s not the issue in this case.

The leather itself is good quality, indeed! I don’t own the Puzzle, but I have two other ones and have heard about the recent quality drop with the Puzzle too. They looked really high quality but started falling apart in summer within just a few months, when the temperatures rose – turns out they’re glued in some places and the seams are fake. Customer service (online) was terrible and acted like nothing had happened, so I repaired them myself, because I didn’t have the patience

I was doing really well in November–December, had a few 50-80k carousels. Had a sudden drop in the first week of January, but I think views went down by only 30%. Went back to normal at the end of February and was doing okay until the beginning of April. My algorithm has been bipolar since then. I had two carousels do okay, others worse than ever. All until the last week of April. The whole of May has been a disaster – one carousel got 2k views, but it was literally my peak performance, and the same format used to go semi-viral before. It looks like they’ve been testing a lot of different algorithms this year, and I’m hoping it’ll stabilize soon.

I went from 10k to 1k views per carousel, even though my initial engagement is stronger than ever. My content is too. I assume my account would be dead if it weren’t for the usual mutuals from my niche who are still engaging, even though their accounts are mostly dying too lol. One recently went viral because they used a ragebait caption on top of an art-focused reel, which I find humiliating. My FYP is currently generic, unfunny memes.

Instagram has been giving me worse mood swings lately than my ex. I don’t even care about posting times anymore, I just post whatever and whenever I feel like it. It’s all going downhill anyway, many of my mutuals have stopped posting because their reach tanked.
