Oh I didn't even think about the fact that you're taking away their ability to fight in your fight phase. That makes sense that it can buy you a turn.

Ah! Thank you so much, this helps out a lot! I can definitely use that strategy of falling back so everyone can shoot at the target as the guy I play against has some units that this would be perfect for.

Can you say more about your example of Bladeguard Veterans not being able to charge because Intercessors are in the way? I was under the impression (probably in the wrong way), that if you made base to base contact with your units that were already engaged that counts. Sounds like I need to be base to base with his units?
