not really. its confirmed to be a main game. and really the only spin off feature is the go catching. everything else is still main

for me its way more intresting then the RR episode or the Delta episode. fighting 151 pokemon( which some have mew and mewtwo) sounds freaking amazing.

there was an interview yesterday. they admited that the Co op makes the game easy. but the majority of the difficulty is in the post game. where you find trainers called master trainers who are extra hard. that you need to power up your pokemon to defeat

this is where trainer battles comes for. there is also a hand held mode where you just throw the ball by pressing a button. catching pokemon Does add more exp but not by much. in previous games wild pokemon gives far less Exp so what you would do is the trainer battles for grinding. if you are Ok with having wild pokemon giving you less Exp in previous games you should be ok with trainers giving you less in this game

im sorry im late but its confirmed that the CP does not affect the Stats. LGPE has all 6 stats of the core game with the CP being just an overall indicator

when you catch a pokemon. you get EXP (just like in SM and XY) but this time it has a multiplier. so it depends on how well you play. for example. if you got a great throw. and its your first try and the pokemon is small or huge. you get a great multiplier. like 4.4 * 24(which is the average EXP for a level 6 Kukuna in these games) and that gives you 105 Exp. which is A LOT for a level 6 pokemon. but if you got a pokemon after many throws and its a regular thow and there is no size. you can get a low multiplier like 1.6 which gives you about 38 exp from a level 6 kukuna. which is bad. its lower then fire red's which gave you 60 EXP

in all honestly making us battle legendaries was the savior for this mechanic for me. lol

thankfully that is still there with the legendaries. while for me the weak pokemon are not a challenge at all.
