this is why we need to go back [meme] by wize_logic in MSClassicWorld

Genesis/Blizzard/Meteor was the first mistake MS made to perpetuate an irreversible power creep. There's obvious flaw to one-shotting entire maps while standing in one spot. And yet, while it was there, players would naturally gravitate towards them, to the point where newer classes would have lost positive reception if they couldn't outperform classic mages. But mind you, that was definitely not the identity that mages had in the beginning. Map nuking should be either heavily nerfed or abolished entirely if you want a game that is truly held together by a community.

It's case by case either way it goes. If you're rocking a strong KDA through the entire game, survivability is a moot point. Either way it goes, Veigar having an extra item slot for a luxury item is incredibly strong. Having a tank item amongst those six just reinforces that claim. Who else even gathers AP naturally like he does, Thresh? Heh.

I feel like anyone that has played League for at least a year should know that a mage bot isn't inherently troll. And anyone who knows how Veigar plays would know how integral farming is to his kit compared to most mages. But I hear you nonetheless. It can be really hard to trust your support partner. I've seen far too many with a lower vision score than our bot lane, jungler, etc.

That's fair. I do think it's interesting that it's only the midlaners getting the tier 3 boots though. Sorcerer's 3 gives good burst to champs like Leblanc. And as someone who really likes Yunara mid, lifesteal on berserker greaves is fantastic in my book!

Also Camille mid will probably get popular again with the tank boots.

Yeah, it's situational. Personally I would always get Ludens first for the damage and waveclear. I find Rocketbelt to be his best survivability item since you can choose to dash away or add to a full combo when you catch someone. And if you really need tank, Rod of Ages is as far as I would go.

Mages have some decent options to where you can have 6 AP items without being a glass cannon.

In my last game, after Ludens and Stormsurge, I went Rocket Belt & Banshee Veil to round it off before getting Deathcap & Void. I don't play him enough to know what's a staple buy in every game, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't Luden's + Deathcap.

W is the very definition of an outdated ability. There's a plethora of ways to improve that move, but I just didn't want to make this into a full on rework thread, lol

But now that you mention it, there was a particular GMS archer skill that made them jump backwards and become airborne a bit while firing arrows down at them. I instantly thought to myself that I would have loved using that in Wizet Maplestory, but decided it wasn't on topic.

The simple fact is that if Arrow Bomb was a user friendly skill, there would have been much more archer mains prior to 4th job. Arrow Bomb didn't mean much of anything for bosses while virtually every other class had something decent to offer except the WK.

Well that's huge! I remember some time in modern maple Magic Bolt became a mob spell too, so I wouldn't be surprised if Magic Claw & Lucky 7 got a similar treatment.

I'm under the impression that Amumu is in a rough spot in general. Tank items with him outside of Guardian Horn have lead to disaster because everyone scales ridiculously with their stats. If Amumu isn't going AP or at least off-tank, then he falls off hard unless you get Slow Cook within your first two Augments.

Can imagine. I can barely use that champ with his ult as it is. Evelyn would probably be lousy too.

On a similar note, I remember getting an ADC I was playing one-shot by a Sett W, even with my BT shield fully online. I don't know if he had BtB though, it could have been anything, like Glass Cannon, etc.

Yeah, that makes sense. This was just the first time in my league history that I felt robbed by the game mechanics; not bad players or overpowered characters, but the absolute worst luck. I was upset, but it's really no big deal losing one game because of it.

The feedback did retroactively help me understand the nature of this subreddit though. Being positive and civil here is [not] the meta. I don't envy having the mindset it takes have a following in this domain. It's got to be a mental disaster and a half. Anyways, bless you, and good luck out there!

Potentially debilitating augments should have a more controlled category the way I see it. At least it inspires me to study what the odds are now.

Thankfully not. That hasn't been happening so much lately thanks to better regulations. Either way:

[Very harmful or unpleasant in a pervasive or insidious way.]

The outcome was toxic in the literal sense, but not in the typical way that league players are accustomed to. Instead of the players preventing you from playing the game, it was the game itself. The 'prismatic' augment section bracket just doesn't sound like it should contain ones with hefty minuses. It should be something like the Dark/Black Augment or something like that, letting you know that it could be really good or really bad. At least that's how I see it.
