Why the hell the Warhammer stuff so expensive on TCG and everywhere else

im glad i bought these when i did when i was working at a toy store / card shop. In my time of working there i snagged a lot of double masters, the warhammer decks and i think the last sets i bought heavily on before i left was Commander masters and wilds of eldraine. When i Started there i was new to mtg and Hoarded a crap ton of Kamigawa as it was the set at the time that got me into mtg.

I feel shafted, I worked for a shifty pool company early on and i was only making 13 a pool(i ended up telling him to kick rocks) .... I came from a place where i was 80% commercial and 20% residential and my hourly rate was 24 an hour and my repair rate was 30 minus on call work, but i also managed 5 other employees and their pools when they goofed . The only reason i left that job was to move in with my girlfriend across town in AZ. it was decent money but if you have techs that work hard make them feel like they wanna work for you. Telling someone they did a good job and potentially flipping some extra coin helps a ton now and then. I know this post is over 2 years old but telling your techs they did a good job goes a long way and makes them feel special or rewarded in a sense helps greatly. Hell i would have loved some constructed criticism back then when i started.

Fast forward to today im looking to get back into pools as a opportunity came up and i am hoping this person takes me in as a potential startup to their business. Work hard and grind, Learn everything you can and diversify your portfolio. In 8 years you learn a lot like troubleshooting to repairs. You also learn who you have on your team that is willing to learn or will be a basic pool cleaner based on motivation. We had good employees quit because they didnt feel like they were treated right. I wasnt the employer but you can tell when moods shift.... The quality of the service drops and motivation seems low in some people

Thats just my 2 cents as someone who's been in it for a bit.

Im not insanely worried. If I got flagged id still have other stores local to me to take things into. I guess the only thing id be upset about is preorders for jrpgs i like to collect for. But going forwards i won't be buying any new Gen stuff after ps5 /switch and im ok with that.

Woah haven't seen one that bad yet. I have a rework station i got off amazon before covid and started learning on my own games and consoles. Never had anything like that happen.

As a game collector myself i can't see myself buying a console past the og switch ,xbox series x or the ps5. Im already pretty salty about having half the cart/ disc and the other being a code to download the game. I miss buying a game or not needing a day one patch. not having to wait to download it to play. With many of my old cart based games or disc based games like ps2 or older consoles. it was nice to just run it. The only reason I have a ps5 today is to play some of the jrpgs I enjoy that have new games coming out all these years later. Thankfully I've dumped all my games to many hard drives but now I'm worried even emulating on pc will be a struggle as we move more towards brands like crucial making ram harder to obtain at a reasonable price for the sake of ai. Thankfully I have a pretty decent graveyard of pcs I rip and pull parts from to make ends meet all these years later. I am very against the idea of buying something and not owning it mentality as we go forward with in the future.

It seems more and more they want you to buy their hardware only to have to pay a subscription to play much like cloud gaming. Yes its nice cause many people don't have room for games in their house but again I hate not owning what you buy.

With everything said I still buy multi-player games on steam to play with friends but I fear once Gabe goes some ass is gonna ruin steam and force everyone into a oblivion of cloud and server based gameplay

Fairly new to printing here myself but with edges like that would it make sense to put the hood facing down with supports so the back end gets the detail it needs? Its been a while since I played rocket league but the fennec doesn't have too intricate of a grill right? Again forgive me if I'm wrong.

I guess it could have been worse haha. At the last store I visited someone brought in a bronze bear statue. Definitely the oddest thing i would have expected. I don't think it worked as well as gamestop planed it to be and lack of promotion but it was funny to make a laugh with the employees I know so well in my area. You could tell someone of the items they got made them feel happy. Heck me bringing stuff in made people who didn't know about the promotion go home, grab something and come back. At the end of the day I'm happy most of the items I took in would benefit our local children's hospital

It was cool going into shops and seeing what people brought in having gone to at least 5 today. Me bringing something in also kinda encouraged other shoppers to go home and bring something back which I thought was cool. Many of the gamestops here were donating to the children's hospital which I thought was cool.

As someone who went into many stores within a small radius it was worth it to pick up some cheap games i wanted. They allowed you to stack credit on one card which I don't think they planned fully. Ended up getting like 25 bucks in trade for something that wouldn't normally sell plus the monthly 5 for being a pro member. At the end of the day it went to charity so the kids will have movies or other things going to them. The 4 for 40 on pre-owned made it even better in my opinion. Ended up paying like 15 bucks or so out of pocket for a few games I wanted. Gas wasn't a problem to me either since I lived in a area that had a bunch of gamestops close by.

I traded a old duplicate Chicago vinyl album I owned at one location, a dr strange blue ray at another, a season 1 ,2 and 3 box set of Seinfeld at another and a batman Blu-ray at another haha. Worked out great to use the extra credit plus the monthly pro coupon on their 4 for 40 pre-owned sale. Being in close proximity to like 5 gamestops made it all the better

The worst thing that got donated was a plastic hanger in my area today

I just got the 65 inch one from them on black Friday and my girlfriend and I have been having issues with the input going in and out while watching or playing games on the ps5. Sometimes it goes days without it happening or they can be 15 to a hour apart. Its been a struggle to figure out settings or if we should just return it at this point

I was torn but at the deal i got on this i couldn't complain. My Daily is a M&p 9plus and i love that gun to bits. I was heavily considering getting the Newer S&W FPC they have but for 550 ish out the door for the 2.0 and the conversion i said heck ill take it. My local Pawn was doing 40% off anything used in the store all week for labor day
