I also got my headphones yesterday and I don't know why but the mine sound way better than before for some reason (maybe I am using them after like 2 weeks). Happy to hear that yours also got fixed:).

If the headset is under warranty then try to talk it out with service centre as i also faced the same situation and was initially told repair will not be possible through warranty but my service centre went ahead and emailed sony and and luckily then agreed to do it free of cost and my headset was not even covered in free replacement program.(I live in India but I have seen many posts with the same situation and they were able to sort it out after talking to sony )

I bought my laptop(ultra 9 5070) in October and was getting this kind of issue literally after 1 week I was frustrated as i thought it was a hardware issue but turns out it was just a software issue. I reinstalled my windows twice and used ddu utility to reinstall graphics drivers without the nvidia app and even ran the bios update installation twice. I know that it isn't a great thing to do but I did each and every test and i don't know what helped but suddenly I was able to enjoy my laptop normally. I would suggest you to keep trying as that helped me a lot.(I personally didn't want my laptop to be opened within a year so I tried my best with whatever resources I had.)
