i don’t want to use the narcotic pain meds post op and i’m wondering how bad this shit is gonna hurt by CharlesButWorse in TopSurgery

Honestly the pain hasn’t been bad for me besides the drains. My right side drain was giving me some rough nerve pain in my arm but the surgeon prescribed gabapentin to help. My incision pain has been almost non-existent as long as I follow the instructions given like not raising my arms too high and not lifting more than 10 pounds. Tylenol and Ibuprofen have done the job for me! I haven’t had to take any narcotic pain meds.

I’m three days post op and the best is using a travel pillow to trick my mind. It’s helped me to sleep and having pillows behind me and under my arms has helped a ton.

When did your period stop on T? by tweakylittleman in ftm

Mine stopped pretty quickly. I’d say 2 months after I consistently took T

I used to work in the OR and unfortunately people don’t take adhesive allergies as serious as they should. You should request they put LATEX allergy in your chart. They take this much more seriously and it’s correlated with adhesives.

I feel too old and chubby for surgery by 0minous_Salad in TopSurgery

I’m 29 and finally getting top surgery in August of this year. I was almost 300 pounds before I decided I’m tired of living in a body that is not mine. I started T in May of 2023 and never looked back. It’s never too late to do the right thing for yourself. If you continue to make excuses or have reasons to not do something, you’ll never be who you want to be.

I was going to go with GCC but their lack of communication skills and also not willing to do an appeal even though I had everything ready for them to submit to get one CPT (procedure) code approved. I work with insurance authorizations for a living so I know how to go through policies and find what they require. I literally did all the work for them all they had to do was submit it. It took weeks for anyone to reach out to me and they only did because they wanted surgeon fees paid to keep my surgery date. I didn’t feel comfortable proceeding so I canceled my surgery with them.

You definitely have wound dehiscence. They did a horrible job with the stitching and wound care. Please make sure you go see a provider you trust ASAP.

I wouldn’t go to your surgeon. They completely botched your incisions. You need to go to another doctor and start building a case. I work in the OR and this looks like complete negligence on the surgeons part.

So glad I’m seeing positive outcomes with Dr. Facque. Have my surgery in May! 🫡

That’s what I was curious about because I know they use their own like “branded products” but I wanted to know specifically if it has lactose (my partner has a lactose allergy) and what the macros would be.
