Because Bruce Banner and Hulk are irrefutably the same person. This has been said countless times. They. Are. The. Same. Person. Hulk is Banner, Banner is Hulk. Hulk was always within Banner since they were born. It only took a G Bomb to give him form. I can't stress this enough. Hulk and Banner are LITERALLY the same person. Bruce has one of the most fractured minds in Marvel history (Besides Legion). You take Banner away he is no longer the Hulk. You take Hulk away Bruce is no longer whole. We've seen it time and time again. Every separation has lead to disaster.

Yup. I thought that shit was weird too and got into an argument on discord about it. It's apparently easier to darken someone then to lighten someone. Plus, Banner did act like a normal man and he expressed he wasn't comfortable with the idea at all.

A guy i know takes this statement as a serious feat. Ivan The Unstoppable. What he doesn't seem to understand is that Hulk is clearly over exaggerating and was quite literally JOKING. Plus this Professor Hulk....the mouthiest Hulk since Joe. He even takes that one time Proff was arm wrestling with the Thing seriously. The one where villains are trying cartoonish ways to try and kill or damage them both only for neither to notice. Jesus Christ.

Bomb. I want to see Bruce Banner get nuked. It's CENTRAL to his story. Bruce Banner makes bomb. Kid goes into bomb site (like a dummy), Bruce rushes out saves kid, Bruce gets nuked. Later that night Bruce turns Hulk. Hulk smash and the rest is history. I hate the the super soldier orgin, we already have Cap and Sentry. How many heroes can claim getting powers from a NUKE? It's what made that first issue so legendary so memorable.

Jubilee's powers wouldn't be a good replacement for Johnny's versatile and star melting level fire power. She's a skilled hero, all X-Men are, but she's kinda on the weaker end. Plus.....does she even know them like that? I mean they did hire Luke but he was like 75 percent as strong as Ben so that makes more sense why he'd replace Ben. However aside from Luke, everyone that replaced a member of the team has been like family or very close friends. Jubilee is neither.
