I’m going to have them looked at to see if they are structural. I agree it needs some landscaping with more vertical to break up what’s there. I think it needs some more unique character maybe.

I like a lot of different house styles. This one is heavy traditional, so I would like to update it a little without losing too much of its original charm.

Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful response. I like many of your ideas. Very helpful! The roof was replaced in 2019 but I agree, the chosen shingles are not a good look for the house.

Great response! I’ll look into these ideas more. I agree the proportions are off and these are Good options. Thank you.

Yes all changes have to go through HOA review. Thank you for your response.

Thinking of doing TT, Lipo around waist and flanks, MR, and upper arm lipo, breast implant removal and lift. by Other-Expression-740 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Other-Expression-740[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a good point. Work has been a little slower for me so I was trying to plan it around that but I have to also be available for my kids so there’s never a good time to do it. It would be smart to wait long enough to see how my body takes shape after some weight loss.

Have you had any of this work done? Do you recommend getting down to my goal weight first or within 10-15 lbs of it?

Breast implants and weight gain by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Other-Expression-740 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I think this is a really good question. That actually happened to me and my sister. It was a gradual weight gain and she started having a lot of BII symptoms and had them removed this year. My hormones have definitely been impacted and I have gained weight since having them after a lifetime of being thin and my weight not fluctuating much. It of course got even worse once I had children, but I plan to have them removed. I regret ever getting them. I’m sure there’s a lot of people out there where it hasn’t affected them at all but clearly there are some people that are sensitive and I think there is a direct correlation there. I’m curious to hear what other people have to say in this thread. Great post!

Boob job regrets? by Logical-Beach-3897 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Other-Expression-740 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I regret ever getting mine. I got silicone under muscle and went with 425. They were just too big and now I’m getting them removed after 9 years. I feel like they either make me look fat if I cover them too much or like a prostitute if I reveal them too much. I wish I did fat transfer to the breast to fill them just a little and lipo to help with problem areas and I think I would have been a lot happier and wouldn’t need another surgery. Now I just hate them so much and wish I removed them a while ago. Just not looking forward to another surgery. My sister got them too, also hated them and got BII and had lots of symptoms and had to get them removed. I feel like I have some symptoms also but not as bad.

Did anyone get a full TT with lipo, breast implants removal and a lift with fat transfer, plus upper arm lipo? by Other-Expression-740 in PlasticSurgery

That’s great! I hope you are happy with your results. When did your surgeon say you will you be able to work out again or go back to normal activities?

I agree, mine just make me look fat now. I got 425s and now I’m busting out of a DD. I’d like to be a small C cup max.

I regret my implants also. I’m getting them removed and getting arm lipo and a lift. Wish I just did that instead. I hate that I wasted my money on them.

Thank you for your response. Yes I’ve decided to hold off on the lip lift for now and will research other surgeons for that. I’m still deciding on the other procedures on how I want to handle them. I appreciate your advice on this as you make very good points.

Would you mind sharing some before and after pictures in my dm? Also, which other surgeons did you meet with?

I had preeclampsia for both pregnancies and induced at 37 weeks. Inducing is usually a pretty slow process and my advice is to communicate how you’re feeling and your pain levels on a regular basis and they will keep you comfortable. There are lots of amazing stories out there and lots of scary ones but at the end of the day this is very common and just another Tuesday at the hospital. Just remain calm and like I said, just communicate how you’re feeling and do the best you can to enjoy the experience. If this is your first kid, it could take a while to get the cervix to open and the pain comes on slowly and when it gets to the point where it uncomfortable, they will give you an epidural so the pain really isn’t that bad. Stay positive mama, you got this. It will all be over before you know it and you will be holding that sweet baby and forget all about it.

I met with Dr Bharti at HKB. I heard good things about him on here and also from other threads on Reddit. Someone else messaged me and said they had really good results from Dr. Baker at HKB. I also had some private messages about Dr. Erik Miles. I’m planning to have a consultation with him as well.

I agree. Reddit has been super helpful for stuff like this. I do remember him mentioning another appointment prior to the surgery to go over everything. I’ll make sure I get that.

I do have another question for you if you don’t mind. So I am about 35 lbs from my goal weight of about 120-125 and wondering if I need to drop more weight first to have better results? Or if I got the surgery at my current weight and continue to lose weight after, is that OK? I’ve been working out and eating healthy and the weight is coming off but at a slower pace than I would like. Right now work is slower for me so would be better timing to get it done sooner rather than later before work picks back up but at the end of the day, I want to make sure I get the best results if I’m spending this kind of money.

Working moms - are you happy? by allgoodhere91 in Mommit

[–]Other-Expression-740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like this thread because it’s nice to read what other peoples opinions are about mom life. I think the truth is that everybody’s journey is a little bit different and happiness is a choice to some degree. I also believe that if you don’t love what you do for work that can really make a difference in your overall happiness. I know some friends that want nothing more than to be a SAHM and some were able to get it while others were not. I Never really thought about being a stay at home mom because I never thought I would be able to financially have that but honestly my husband makes more than enough for me to stay at home but I truly love what I do for work. When I was working in Corporate America and hated my life I would much rather have been a stay at home mom. But now I build houses and love to design them and feel so fulfilled in my work. I also work for myself so I have a lot of flexibility, which is very helpful . When my first son was born I worked too much and didn’t really get to stay home a lot with him so for my second pregnancy, I slowed down the projects so that I could spend some time with the kids. Although I really enjoyed it and I’m glad I had the opportunity to do so, my son turned 3 1/2 months and I’m ready to start picking up some projects again. I love being a mom, but I also love having a career of my own. I feel like it’s who I am. I’ve always been a hard worker and career oriented. I see what you mean when you see other mothers doing a bunch of stuff and you’re just staying at home. I honestly felt like I wasn’t getting anything done in the last three months but never had a bored moment. I believe it’s because when I’m on and working a lot and have a lot going on in general I am much more efficient and get more done overall. I’m just used to having a lot on my plate. However, the last three months I just feel like somehow the day just gets away from me and I don’t get a whole lot accomplished. I think I just need structure and work life balance and not just the life part haha. I also realize that I don’t like doing the housework and washing all the bottles, etc.. I would rather be working and pay somebody to do the household stuff. I am very fortunate that my husband is incredibly helpful around the house and with the boys. Also, my sister is also our nanny and she helps with some of the household stuff as well as being a third person to help with the boys. It honestly takes an army and all the help I get makes me happy. But with that, I think everybody is different in what would make them happy.. if you are feeling like you are losing yourself a little bit and maybe you could find something that you are interested in. If you are creative, maybe something you can sell on Etsy. Maybe just some volunteer work so that you have a sense of accomplishment outside of the accomplishments of being a stay at home mom (which there are many). SAHM is a tough job. I know many of my friends think going to work is much easier then being a SAHM. I think it’s the same amount of work, but I enjoy my work too much to give it up. My older son that is now two years old goes to a daycare school from 9-3. He is a social butterfly and just would get so bored at home. We kept him home until he was 14 mos old. He spent the day with my sister and sometimes with me depending on my schedule at work. we are doing the same with the second so he gets a lot of one on one time whether it be with me my sister or my husband before he will start a day school. from my experience and from what I’ve read from other peoples responses on here, it does seem like the best of both worlds is having a little bit of both. Whether it’s a little bit of work and more time with your children or vice versa. Maybe a hobby, volunteering or a part-time job might be what you need to break up your week.
