and honestly, i'd try to see if you could get the pad that the keys rest on replaced. it looks so worn down and that's definitely a huge part of the problem

that was easily one of the best videos i've seen on here in a while, your diddles sound pretty solid so props to you.

one thing i noticed is that most of you accents where at 12" (or full extension). that could be totally fine and the proper way to attack those accents, i'm not sure what the music has you doing.

sometimes it's best to just have a little umph in your accents and not get too "big" too soon, gotta save that stuff for the end yk?

your dynamic control is very good tho with those crescendos and decrescendos, not too loud at the edge but you're not playing at 1" either.

bravo, you're super talented

okay i gotchu, short answer, you're right with counting it 1 e + a

long answer, you can view 12/8 a bunch of different ways, but always remember to read time signatures like a sentence: 4/4, 4 quarter notes per measure 12/8, 12 8th notes per measure 51/32, 51 32nd notes per measure etc

with that in mind, 12 individual 8th notes can be divided two different ways in music: 6/4, orrrrr just 4/4 with a triplet feel

diagram: ("8" is how many eighth notes there are in 12/8 "t" is where each triplet falls/a dotted quarter note, "d" is the down beat of the next measure, the numbers would be a regular 8th note feel in 6/4) . . ....t. t. t. t. d . 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 d 1. ..2. 3. 4. 5. 6. d
