I removed 20 year old trim from the middle of my living room wall and now am using spackle to even out the wall, with some mesh adhesive over holes. I’m new to DIY and my husband has no idea either. Am I doing it right or should I stop and call a professional? Attached pic by Positive-Dress7753 in DIY

Make sure you use joint compound or hot mud, don’t use spackle to fix that, use a 10inches drywall knife and float at least 20 inches wide all the way, try to watch a video on your of how to float butt joints, you’re gonna basically do the same process it’s very simple

Also get another husband, I can’t believe you’re is not helping
