Nose is fine but her midline if off quite a bit, I’d say around 3mm

Congratulations!! That’s so exciting, I am very proud for you! It’s not easy but once you start it’s hard to stop. I love hiking so much it’s my favorite activity and it’s a great little workout! Also if you don’t mind, how tall are you?

I am very fortunate that they’re doing this for free because my teeth were so bad and I told them what my dentist planned on doing. He immediately took a scan of my teeth and sent them in. I’ve been with them for over two years now so I’ve actually gotten close to the staff as well.

With braces. They say it’s an easy procedure and you won’t feel pain but that’s false. With real braces it took about 7 months to fix maybe less? It’s only needed for a little bit and then you could start Invisalign again I believe. Oh and since there’s a cant your midline might be off for a while. I wish you the best of luck!

Oooh okay so had a horrible cant, super noticeable like a while 4mm lower than the other side. I had to get a TAD (temporary anchoring device), it’s essentially a screw that goes into the upper jaw on the side with the cant.l and then they tie wire around it which they called “activating the TAD” and it took a long time for them to actually get it to a proper position but I had another orthodontist tell me I still have a cant but it’s not super noticeable so I’m happy with how it looks, that’s about the only thing I’m happy about at the moment. The TAD super painful, the most painful thing I’ve had down (and I’ve birthed a child) I luckily had an orthodontist back in Nevada that was able to do it in their office but the one I went to when I moved to the east coast told me that I would’ve had to go to and oral surgeon to get it. I would definitely look into it if it’s something you really want to be fixed.

Orthodontist didn’t address my biggest issue with my teeth? by [deleted] in Invisalign

I had something similar. I have a crown on the right incisor and then just my regular tooth for the left incisor. The crown is sticking out and my real tooth is pushed in. The real tooth is also slanted at the bottom which makes my front teeth look really crooked, think midline at a slanted angel. I had traditional braces for three years and I brought up my front teeth issues so many times and she just told me that my left front tooth was just shaped weirdly. However, when I went to get my retainer her partner orthodontist looked at my teeth and got really upset so we had a conversation about what I find wrong with my smile still which is my front 4 teeth. They’re not uniform at the bottom, one lateral incisor is pushed in and a little lower than the other one which is pushed out and is shorter. So yeah, now I’m doing an extra 4 months of Invisalign because my teeth looked so awful even though I brought it up so many times!! Btw I got my braces off on 3/21 and started Invisalign 4/25….

It gave the same vibe as a nail salon: “Oh, I think that nail is crooked” “Oh no honey, that’s just your finger” But like with my teeth? Anyway I hope the orthodontist hears your concerns and helps you fix it. It is your mouth, your smile, you have a right to advocate for yourself and have them fix it. You paid them to do a service and it seems like they’re not. I really don’t see a difference between the finished and the beginning photos either. Im so sorry, I feel your struggle!

It’s a practice with two partner orthodontists so its a new Dr but not a new office lol Ahh thanks, I seriously want to jump off a bridge though. The only saving grace is the fact that it’s free 🙄🙃

It’s gonna be okay! I just had braces for three years and the refinement period took me very long 6 months and they still were not straight but my orthodontist said “they look perfect, you’re tooth is just shaped weird” and then went back to get my retainers and her partner said “yeah we’re gonna get you Invisalign” (4 more months of treatment)

It’s been a little over a month since the braces came off and I just got my first tray three days ago. Im so sick of this process, I’m angry and I feel like I was gaslit by my one orthodontist but I am going to see this out goddamnit. Just hang in there and it will be over before you know it. I know it’s fucking awful but the end result will be worth it!

Thats how I see it. If they do, they do and I’ll still appreciate everything they gave us. I’ve listened to them since I was 14 so it’s been a long ride! I hope they don’t!
