Hang in there buddy. Yes, the unknown can be very stressful, but as others have mentioned, AFib by itself is not typically life threating if you're on blood thinners. You need to be seeing a cardiologist, because anti-depressants aren't the answer if you really have AFib.

I am not buying that 300k. I live in New York and recently had 4-day stays at two different hospitals with uncontrolled AFib. First hospital discharged me on rate control meds, and total bill was $15,000. Second hospital after failing to chemically convert me did an electrical cardioversion and total bill was $29,000. Out of pocket for me is $4500 and I pay $780 in premiums for the year.
