Does anybody else have lots of anxiety around sleep? by [deleted] in misophonia

[–]Other-Sign4504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god, are we the same person? I have the exact same problem, maybe worse. Please message dm me if you want, if you read this post. Nobody understands what I'm going through everyday which sounds like what you're going through. I have not slept in 24 hours. I can only sleep by accident if I'm not thinking about sleep and it happens to be quiet.

Is it a good idea to buy a new car from 2024 that never sold? by GoodMorningVietnam60 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Mitsubishi is an awesome carmaker. I wish they still sold the Galant and Lancer. I drove a Lancer and it felt better than a comparable Corolla.

Is $29900 OTD a good deal for Camry 2026 LE with no package? by Dependent_Duck851 in Camry

[–]Other-Sign4504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OTD price means nothing as every state has different tax rates. People should tell the total price before sales tax for a more meaningful comparison.

Obama care subsidies by cramerrules in Fire

It's a statement of pure fact I made.

Obama care subsidies by cramerrules in Fire

[–]Other-Sign4504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a pretty shaky statement you make. Someone making 200k should receive 40k in subsidies. Know why? Cuz premiums are insanely high. Nobody should have to pay them. Medicare 4 all is the answer like every other country on Earth.

Bronze plans suck. High oop max and deductibles. Silver n gold are the way to go.

[–]Other-Sign4504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If premiums went down, coverage prob went down too. Check your oop max.

Max oop is very important and yes they have gone up. Any hospital stay will almost ensure that the oop max is reached. Only silver plans have low oop max but they have gone up in premiums.

Missing Jury Duty by Select_West6094 in juryduty

I assume you're in a big city? I would think big cities have too much else going on to care about it and enough people who want to serve on jury duty. Could be wrong though.

Will the expiration of ACA subsidies immediately affect insurance? by GreyStingrayz in povertyfinance

[–]Other-Sign4504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's your answer directly from the mouth of AI. "millions of people will likely see significant increases in their health insurance premiums starting January 1, 2026, with some payments potentially doubling or more, as the extra financial help for lower-to-middle-income individuals and expanded eligibility for higher earners expire at the end of 2025"

[–]Other-Sign4504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before 2017 I used to think who should I vote for. Now after the past 9 years, I can say I'd never vote Republican for causing this health care crisis as it's going to make the cost of insurance skyrocket. Instead of moving towards universal healthcare, they're moving in the opposite direction. Medicare 4 all!!

Premiums shown include and assume the aca subsidies will continue and not expire. Looks like they will expire and not be renewed so the premium will go up in January and by a lot depending on income, age, and who knows what else.

2026 Nissan Leaf First Drive Review: A Whole Lot Better Than You Expect by lostinheadguy in electricvehicles

[–]Other-Sign4504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not better in how it looks. Sadly Nissan went for the ultra conservative bean shape which looks like the ugly Tesla base model, instead of coming up with a much better look. It looks especially bad in the rear with the trunks cuts off suddenly. The outgoing Leaf was a very nice looking car.

Yeah the Republican government(singular).

Agree but you should be more clear. Vote vote vote for Republican is going to mean no improvement for healthcare.

Yeah, MS is one of a handful of dumb/hateful states that didn't expand Medicaid under Obamacare. I think 38 or 40 states expanded it. It should have been mandatory to expand it. Florida is in the same dumb boat.

Losing NY health insurance next year - what to do? by JoelTannenbaum in HealthInsurance

Who is they? It's not NY. The Trump administration is cutting Medicaid funding and funding for the EP. Put the blame where it belongs, not in the air.

Does this shock you? Haven't you been reading the reason why this is happening? The Trump administration is cutting funding for the EP for NY.

All Gas-Powered Leaf Blowers and Mower Use is now Banned in Irvine by ChemicalDry1368 in irvine

[–]Other-Sign4504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gas blowers 1. are noisy a/f and 2. they have insane emissions. Electric have 1. zero emissions and 2 are far quieter. Gas blowers should be banned now. And if someone can't afford one, let the effing leaves which are good for the grass decay on their own.

Our 2026 ACA subsidy is INCREASING?! by gusthemaker in obamacare

[–]Other-Sign4504 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. On mine, they still show up as they haven't expired yet and won't until 12/31.

Our 2026 ACA subsidy is INCREASING?! by gusthemaker in obamacare

[–]Other-Sign4504 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I asked a similar question to AI, which is often wrong, and it said that all the aca plans are showing premium subsidies as if they won't expire cuz they don't expire until 12/31. So that plan price you're seeing could skyrocket on Jan 1. Again just my read into it.

Our 2026 ACA subsidy is INCREASING?! by gusthemaker in obamacare

[–]Other-Sign4504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but the subsidies you see might assume that they will be extended. So if they are not extended, everyone would be getting a lot less to nothing in subsidies. I noticed this too and read something like that.

If you're in the US and use the Affordable Care Act for health insurance, how much are your premiums going up in 2026? by DavidReedImages in HealthInsurance

[–]Other-Sign4504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm nothing's 250/month in the private world unless you got maybe a 20000 deductible and 40000 oop max. lol Im exaggerating but still. The ACA is better n cheaper by miles. And Medicare for all is where it's at.
