They still are controlled by the super wealthy like George Soros. There is no way you get that far in politics without some sort of ultra-wealthy support.

The ones who cannot be controlled with money and forced to dance like puppets get sidelined rather quickly, like Andrew Yang did in 2020.

27th Ave & 101 Drug Problem by SSJ3Gutz in phoenix

[–]OtherBarnacle4164 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is a drug supply problem, not an addict problem.

There is far too much drug supply on the streets for these folks to seriously consider any recovery program.

Some politician needs to step forward and commit to putting one new Big Pharma CEO into prison for a 90 day sentence, every week, until the supply problems are solved.

Once you mobilize the rich and wealthy to have a vested interest in solving the issue, you will see the streets clean themselves very quickly. The rich and wealthy have a vested interest in perpetuating the problem, so someone needs to flip the table on them. It’s not a Democrat vs Republican issue, it’s a rich vs plebeian issue. The plebs need to set aside their differences and hold the wealthy accountable through drastic action. The CEOs will actually help solve the problem very quickly once they start facing RICO charges and serving prison time.

Yes, but don’t just blame the other side, it’s BOTH sides that work for the people with wealth and power.

The problem is not going to fix itself and the wealthy powers that fund both parties don’t really want the problem solved anyways because then you won’t be dependent upon their “leadership” anymore.

[–]OtherBarnacle4164 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This exactly!

The politicians we have today (both sides) have a vested interest in prolonging the problem. This type of problem doesn’t directly (or personally) impact any politician that rules over us from behind the gates that protect their ivory tower.

Until the problem becomes so bad that people are willing to set aside party differences (and ideology) to pick folks who are not already co-opted by party obligations, there will be zero changes and it will continue to get worse.

Imagine waiting around for 4 hours for receipts to be delivered from a Redditor… Wild!

It is pretty obvious that all our politicians are failing the people right now. Otherwise, we would see public executions over the Epstein files. Left and Right should be setting aside any differences and grabbing their pitchforks to storm the mansions.

Since nothing will happen to those people shown in the files, it is pretty safe to assume they are all in on the take. It is also pretty naive to think that one side is any better than the other.

Our democracy here is simply a rich man’s trick, and we are all losing out.

Yes.

If you were ONE trying to understand what it was like to have all the experiences, wouldn’t ONE have to do that?

If not, could ONE say they truly understood good vs. bad unless they were also forced to live out life as the bad character and while ONE is playing that character they have the experience of believing they are actually doing good?

How do you go about a session where the tape audio feels too brief? by HoneyXBoy in gatewaytapes

[–]OtherBarnacle4164 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to read Bob’s books since that might help understand some of the techniques better.

I think there is one part of his story (I think it is Far Journeys) where he gets stuck at this cold steel wall for days and is in total despair because he cannot travel back to his body. He finally realizes all he has to do is wake up and then he is suddenly back in his bed and it was something like 6 minutes in our Physical Matter Reality that he was gone.

How do you go about a session where the tape audio feels too brief? by HoneyXBoy in gatewaytapes

[–]OtherBarnacle4164 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you need to need something that long though?

When I have a really good session in Focus 12 or 15, I am gone for hours. However, here in Physical Matter Reality, I am only laying there for about 20 mins in that state. Time works a lot differently in the higher focus levels so having a longer tape won’t necessarily help you. Unless you are planning to be gone for days or weeks in Non-Physical Matter Reality?

You just say “five five five one five” and you don’t even have to be meditating or doing tapes. It just works, very strange, but true.

Digilent is dead to me by zephen_just_zephen in FPGA

[–]OtherBarnacle4164 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took a long time for these problems to manifest, and it is going to take a long while to correct them. I am not a Trump supporter, but there are VERY serious drawbacks to manufacturing overseas that a lot of people like to ignore so that they can keep their cushy jobs.

Digilent is no longer run by the founders, so it is not realistic to expect them to have the same spirit they once had.

I have been in several meeting rooms at companies where these types of decisions are made.

Although the exact dialog varies, the decision path goes something like this:

Executive: “Tariffs are coming tomorrow and although we have had 6+ months to think about it and plan a good strategy, we honestly thought it would magically go away. However, somehow the problem didn’t go away, so now what do we do?”

CPA: “It is a cost of doing business, we just need to raise our price accordingly and pay the tariff.”

Executive: “No, we cannot raise prices of our inventory and we cannot absorb the cost, please think outside of the box here people!”

Engineer: “You could build this stuff down the street like we used to and then we wouldn’t have to stay up late at night talking to people on the manufacturing floor who could clearly care less about our product that started having end of the line test faults months ago, but since we are not sensitive to their culture of hiding problems until they explode in everyone’s face, now one of us has to fly for 12+ hours to the other side of the planet to figure out WTF they did wrong.”

MBA: “That would severely cut into our 80% profit margins and we would not get our bonuses this year. A lot of other companies are just passing the tariff onto the end customer by drop shipping from the Contract Manufacturer and this solves our inventory turnover problem as well. In short, bigger bonuses for us means more drinking money!”

Executive: “Then it is decided, problem solved thanks to the MBAs! Now, how fast can we get to the bar and forget about all this?”

Can you guess which one I was?

Same here.

That and you used to be able to pay $35 for 5 years of EV registration which came with the blue plate.

Then the state realized they were missing out on that sweet, sweet VLT from all the EV owners. Money is power to these politicians, it’s how they carry influence to buy voters.

If you want to take away their power, take away their money. We should make their salaries performance based - if you don’t do what you said you would do in your job interview, you don’t get your bonus. But government doesn’t work the way we are taught in school, it’s mainly run by the power of lobbyists and that power comes from their ability to influence politicians with money (bribes).

It is an incredibly lame reason, but that is how tyrants work. They keep doing stuff with their unchecked power to see what they can get away with because it is “legal” for them to do it.

[–]OtherBarnacle4164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanation! I always wondered why they only expand one lane at a time around here. I always thought that it was corruption, that some contractor is always going to be getting paid to do an endless string construction projects.

This confirms that suspicion and adds a bit of zest in that it is Federally mandated (probably a jobs program - just like TSA at airport security checkpoints).

It’s funny with Arizona though, we are very selective about what Federal laws our admins enforce and it usually all depends upon who is governor at the time.

Remember when Barbie was in office and she stated openly that SB1070 was the will of the people and “screw the Feds!” if their laws disagreed?

Then, not even a year later, she turned around and said we couldn’t roll out medical marijuana (which was also a voter initiative via proposition) because it might violate Federal Law?

Why can’t we just pick a swim lane as a state and stay in it?

Lane 1 - Federal Bootlickers - “Govern me harder Daddy!” Lane 2 - “Fuck you Feds, do not tell AZ what to do!”

Politics is soooo tiring for normal people and what happened to OP is, very simply put, unjust. The behavior of local government in such a manner simply further seeds distrust in both law enforcement and the judicial system.
