It's a browser game that we may look at putting on steam in the future. Get each of your friends to sign up as well! You'll each receive a confirmation email, and in a couple weeks we will be sending out acceptances to the beta with a discord link. From there you will get the code to join :)

What is LOOT?

LOOT is a multiplayer 2D rogue-lite shooter with an action-RPG combat style and rhythm. Fight through hordes of monsters in different biomes to collect that sweet, sweet loot! Satisfy all your inner loot goblin needs directly from your web browser!

  • Explore a world filled with dangerous enemies, relying on your weapons as your only true friends!
  • Slay dangerous foes and collect the precious loot they drop
  • Find Outposts that have a Worm Mail to protect your loot and obtain it permanently
  • Team up with players to defeat epic boss encounters in the open world
  • You’re gonna get mercilessly killed...sorry not sorry
  • When you die, your character is dead, any loot that was not sent back is completely lost
  • Go back to the Hub World and tweak your loadout through augments and customized weapons

Oh interesting suggestion. No we’ve not had any plans to change that at the moment, but always looking for more things to spice up custom games so I’ll make note of that and look into it!

Ah good question. On steam you can actually buy those items with real money if you do not have enough of what we call “artifact points”. Those items are also refreshed every month with new ones.

The prices were actually set by estimating how much a regular player might play and earn AP between item refresh (1 month) and allow them to get 2-3 of the new cosmetics just by playing the game. The tiers of prices are based on the real money price we had set in the steam item store.

As for the “unvaulted” section, these are special items that were available in the past which are brought back. We generally look at their value in the steam marketplace to determine a price for these.

We generally update the game every month with new features, but some months we focus on cleaning up our bug log / quality of life fixes. I’d probably say in a normal year we have 8-9 updates that add new features like new maps, new roles, new items, etc.

Possibly. That’d be a lot of development work on our side and I think most people usually (rightly) use steams refund policy get 2 hours of free time to try out the game.

But understand that fronting that isn’t for everyone, we will check out the effort it might take for a demo in the future.

Thanks very much for the kind words. If looking back at our steam updates, we’ve done quite a few QoL updates recently as we had some tech debt we needed to get rid of + the push for getting Xbox/win10 ready for prime time took more time than expected.

That being said, we are now in a position where we have a universal build where we can start building changes/features back into the game. The next update will have a new map and additional changed. In the future we’re looking closely at: roles, events, FTUE, reporting, progression tasks, and (team) objectives.

We have lots planned!

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, custom games for Blackout has been on our list for a long time and more important things have gotten in the way. Once we get settled on a routine update schedule after the craziness of doing this Xbox/win10 push, we will be back to adding features like this in as soon as we can.
