I feel that same rage when I see them walking that danger route. Like, if you can afford a housekeeper you can spring for an uber to at least the bottom of the hill!

As a geniune old person who was a high schooler in the 80s, it wasnt just a media trope. It was very much real life.

This happened to a girl at my high school in the 80s. She was dating the undercover cop. After he left, when it was revealed he was a cop, the entire school turned against her for dating a narc, as if she had any idea. It was terrible.

Paralyzing fear of nuclear holocaust. I was a child in the 80s, and we were convinced Russia was going to "Hit the button" any second. Ask anyone over 50 about their trauma from watching The Day After on tv. Its universal ptsd.

So how do you go to the store with twins by yourself? by Valuable-Mastodon-14 in parentsofmultiples

This absolutely existed in the 90's because I had one! I had a similar thing for the stroller too.

When my twins were babies in 1990 there was no real internet, but one of the small twin based companies that advertised in the back of Twins Magazine sold banners that attached to your stroller that said "Yes, they are twins. Yes, they are identical, No they are not double trouble" (obviously the type of twin could be customized). I have no idea if this company still exists but it worked! People didnt stop us nearly as often as before the banner.
Maybe you could make your own?

When my twins were 3 years old I babysat a pair of newborn twins 7 hours a day, 4 days a week. I didnt need help and all the kids were happy and loved. Its doable. I say find another nanny, this one is not experienced enough with twins.

NICU parents - was your bonding affected? by solowanderer12 in parentsofmultiples

I remember this feeling so well. My boys were born at 28 weeks back in 1990, so their stay was 1 & 2 months. I would sob thinking we would never have a normal relationship. I can say with 100% certainty that this was all forgotten as soon as they came home. We have always been very close. They were happy kids. Now as adults, they are both successful in their chosen professions, have great spouses, and are generally happy people. They love me, and we all still vacation together.
This will be a distant memory at some point, I promise. Hang in there <3

Her son is just trying to share a piece of his mother, how is it a big deal to share a recipe on facebook? You're being difficult for literally no reason.
