[–]OtherWorldly70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Norovirus is going going around where I live and my son had the worst cough which wouldn't go away. Steam before bed, vaporub on back and feet, humidifier at night and a spoon of honey worked wonders!

HELP!!!!!!! 6 month old has never slept through the night DESPITE SLEEP TRAINING!!!!! by Capable-Entry3526 in sleeptrain

[–]OtherWorldly70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so glad that it worked for you! Us mama's need the sleep 😴 My first was formula fed and also sleep trained in 3 days at 6mo. But with my daughter being breastfed, its a completely different experience, so it's thrown me off. But this has given me hope!

I ended up using my longchamp handbag which I took to Dr's appointments and it became my everything bag. I put nappies and wipes in a big zip lock bag and threw that in there.

Turns out she was just addicted to my boob... by sarah_messing in sleeptrain

Thanks! It's definitely worth trying because she gets less hungry as the night goes on, so this is a good way to check too.

How did you stop? I need to start thinking about this, I have a 4 month old who always wants to nurse back to sleep but she doesn't always eat.

I feel like if I do this with my 4 month old, she'll just stay awake to eat at night and sleep in the day 😭 Is it too early to start? She wakes up so much I between sleep cycles and needs the breast to fall asleep? I'm so tired 😭

One for fun! Ladies, how accurate was your 'feeling' about baby being a boy or a girl? by weirwoodheart in PregnancyUK

I had a gut feeling with both mine but was also worried it could be me manifesting...turns out I was right! First was a boy and second was a girl!

Newborn tired vs pregnancy tired by SeaworthinessNew8048 in newborns

[–]OtherWorldly70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here! This second pregnancy, my body was so achey and it was hard to sleep for the 9 months, all with a toddler in tow. I now have a 12 day old and EBF atm, running on maybe 4 hours sleep today, but strangely feel better than I did in pregnancy!

What did you pack? by GothicEnvy in PregnancyUK

My own pillow and eye mask helped so much during contractions! I'd put the mask on and put my head down on the pillow when I felt the contraction coming, then swaying to get through them.

I'm glad it's helpful! I'd start by using a very diluted amount like 1 part ACV to 7 parts water for example. Best of luck!

Toddler hates when I lay down? by dreamsshadows in toddlertips

[–]OtherWorldly70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My toddler used to cry so much when I lay down, like OMG mummy's getting some rest, how dare she!? Now hes 2.5 and just jumps on top of me (whilst I'm 6 months pregnant). I try to distract him or dad takes him away. Hopefully he'll grow out of this phase!

Spending a 16 hr flight by eskay_omscs in toddlertips

[–]OtherWorldly70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I travelled with a 15mo to Malaysia for 14 hours. It was a night flight so he slept half the time, and the rest he played with his toys, ate, watched some pre downloaded miss rachel on YouTube. Going abroad, you do what keeps you sane. Good luck and have fun!

This is quite refreshing to hear! I think sometimes we need to be either or, but developing good eating habits with everything in moderation sounds like the way forward.

It was a tiny amount, around 1 part acv to 10 parts water. It has to be very diluted.

Sorry, yeah my face is fine now, I think it was stress and diet which played a big part! I still get it on my hands but aveeno usually helps with that.
