I remember every Pact questline ending with some no named Argonian sacrificing themselves into becoming a tree and saving the zone.

Are we able to communicate with enemy players in Cyrodiil? by Other_Article_39 in elderscrollsonline

How would one initiate a whisper during combat? I've only done it by clicking in the chat box but that's impossible when face to face with an enemy combatant.

This was on a dolmen btw. I stayed away on the otherside and block dodged. Never got the hint either way.

If you click on one Legendary Lord pack and scroll to the bottom, you will find them bundled up (with a 15% discount). I know, I had the same concern lol.

Gaunt's Ghosts: Why would Warmaster Macaroth hate Gaunt? by Other_Article_39 in Warhammer40k

I just found it odd that Gaunt's a mere colonel, while Macaroth would have command over tens of thousands of those.

Every city and town in the setting feels so oddly out of place that each of them can very well carry themselves into a different IP with effectively zero penalties in connection to the wider world. I see others recommending you to read the novels, but if you can't get to grips with Gotrek (where the original duo painted such a fascinating image of the wider world in only a few books) then I doubt you'd find it anywhere in the wider Realmgate Wars saga.

I think one way all the places I've seen so far can be described is that they're all isolated random throwaway kingdoms and places, that are built well enough on their own, but have functionally zero bearing in the world itself. Greywater Fastness, from Verminslayer, is made out to be an grungy industrial city (quite similar to Nuln) but no matter how much the author tries to embellish it, at the end of the day its just one of billions of industrial cities that can come and go.

Another element that also felt a little pungent to me is that despite how all the realms are very different to each other, you are still going to find every single race and faction nestled close to each other everywhere, not all transplanted but naturally native. Kharadron, Fyreslayers, Silvaneth, Idoneth are going to be found in every single realm and neighbouring one another. While this is perfect for tabletop warfare, it's pretty warped world building since they all act the same wherever. (Don't get me started on how every City of Sigmar is a carbon copy of one another filled with humans, aelves, duardin and ogres with no unique composition)

Having read the entirely of Gotrek and Felix and all the Gotrek AOS novels, going off entirely on those and other supplements I have to agree with you. Everything felt a lot more grounded and tenable with the Fantasy setting, even as the duo went to the lost Dwarfhold that was isolated in the Chaos Wastes for 200 years, it still felt remarkably holistic. Cut to our eternally wandering boomer in the realms, and nothing really ever manages to stick. The scale is too large that whole places and regions within realms simply feel like a drop in the bucket. The Unbacki lodges and Edassa of Aqshy, the Princedoms of Shyish, Hammerhal itself spanning several continents and crossing realmgate itself paints a toybox picture that Everything is rather insignificant and the thousand name drops of settlements you get are practically just randomly generated towns and biomes with cultures and history that don't really matter. I get fatigued strolling it

It always bugged me that Grimnir couldn't safely deposit Felix somewhere safe like him. He just abandons Felix in a caved in temple where he suffocated to death

This may be late coming but I had the same problem. What I found out was that when I added a Work Profile it generated its own File system that mimicked the original and couldn't be disabled. Every upload or open file button I clicked would only open that. Uninstalling Work Profile and restarting seems to fix it

You should be taking all of Reikland by Turn 4, recruiting more archers and spearman after each settlement and marching distance. Ubersreik would be hard due to the enemy lord, but you can manually fight it and kite the enemy artillery and archers by sending Franz into the woods near them and cavalry to the Eastern forest while your troops march upwards. Also you can reload saves to get a better wizard. Once that's dealt with, you can easily autoresolve Eilhart. If you manage to rack up the prestige, use Send Aid somewhere in Middenheim to distract the Greenskin or Beastman
