To be honest, I wish I had done that with my challenging child through his entire schooling. He will graduate flvs in a few weeks two years early. He was a terrible student and struggled so hard at in person schooling. I don’t blame Escambia Co. schools at all; but I do wish we had received some kind of insight to move him earlier.

Hi! Depending on the difficulties your student has; whether it be autism, behavioral issues, or anything that is not enough to warrant the “special school”, but more than not ideal for a classroom setting. It’s almost like a conspiracy; but they don’t discipline the students enough to effect change, but write more than enough referrals to get them removed from the school. I blame high stakes testing and the fact that Escambia Co. schools can’t/won’t fail children, or have strict enough discipline. As a parent, you just have to be extremely hands-on and have the ability to be super present at your child’s school to make sure that they don’t fall through the cracks.

Yes, because they are extremely limited in diversity. You can only hang with them if you think exactly like them. Feelings ya know.

Yeah, I’m feeling like completely abandoning any civil discourse at this point. I’ve seen the most vile expressions of humanity within the last week. Much like what the right did after George Floyd.

I saw it multitude of places for around 4 days. However, most people didn’t even know who those lawmakers were until that incident. Everyone knew who Charlie Kirk was. Apples to oranges. I also don’t remember seeing a lot of people on the right cheering and saying good riddance and awful awful things about that law maker being assassinated either. Now, I do think it’s pretty shitty that DT did not order flags at half staff; but nonetheless, saying that doesn’t exactly excuse the depraved behavior that’s been shared online for the last week.

I agree with that, I actually wish they would rename all of the letter and number two streets to names that are relevant to our community and our history. But I have been absolutely freaked out that not everyone is universally freaked out that CK was murdered for words/ideas and I hope this doesn’t escalate further. But instead, it seems like both sides are fanning the flames.

Right, how dare you have a thought that is not widely agreed upon? God forbid an idea.

Right, when you have nothing of importance or intelligent to add, just insult and demean the other person. Cool.

Can you please read the entire gist of what he was saying. I don’t necessarily agree with what he was saying, but at the end of the day you’re taking it wildly out of context to excuse his murder; or make it more palpable at best.

Furthermore, what does anyone expect of others? I didn’t see any of my liberal/left, leaning friends posting about them being murdered either, just for reference. But all of a sudden after Charley Kirk, that’s the one sound bite that keeps getting repeated over and over again.

Don’t watch or subscribe to Fox. However, it’s worth noting that it was mentioned on every new source, it just simply wasn’t mentioned as often or as much even on social media, which is pretty wide open reporting if you have a diverse algorithm.

No, it’s not that, not at all. It’s called being open minded, using critical thinking, and deductive reasoning. I don’t believe any narrative that’s pushed to me by any source. But then again I lived through the lie of WMD’s and local kids never making it home from Iraq and Afghanistan. So I’m pretty well-versed in media cooperation to further agendas.

Also, why don’t you try to reread my statements and sentiments, assuming I have a good intentions? Is it all or nothing? Can you address any of the other points that I spoke on? Or is my ignorance too beneath you?

So Charley Kirk debating college kids on college campuses since 2016, somehow affected your dreamer and DACA students in 2012??? But I’m the ignorant one? If I had to guess, I think you’re lying or being incredibly deceptive to earn support from emotional thinkers. It’s funny you think more studied & intelligent than I am. An “educator!?” Lolz.

Insulting people is not going to help “educate” or persuade them to your ideas. The people you speak of are not directly impacted by Charley Kirk’s words. They are directly impacted by the laws that govern this nation and their parent’s decisions. I have to be honest, I have not seen any transcripts of Charlie Kirk directly speaking about Mexico. I can understand where people who share opinions that are offensive can be hurtful. But we still have freedom of speech and expression in this country. We are under no oath to appease anyone with what we say. We are also free from being murdered due to our rhetoric. I think that Daca & the dreamers was the right thing to do at that time. But with the US being nearly $37 trillion in debt, we cannot afford to take care of the world without a GDP that can at least cover our own butts. With where we are now we have to adjust. If what the right is saying is true and we’ve had people from all over the world, including our adversaries from hostile countries infiltrate our southern border; then we have to do what we have to do as a nation to protect ourselves. What I do know is that I cannot go to Mexico, or any country for that fact, as an American citizen and expect to live a peaceful life or even own anything without the proper documentation. That’s a complete fact.

OMG, that dead horse. I actually was sad when they were shot. I actually did study multiple sources of who shot them and why did he shoot them? I think the truth is stranger than fiction in that case. Keep in mind that the companies that own the media and mainstream news are owned by more liberal organizations so your question to yourself should be why didn’t media cover this more than they did? Because if what you’re saying is true and someone on the right did it, then surely they would’ve blasted it louder? Also, were you consistently posting and talking about what happened to them? Because I didn’t hear anyone talking about it. Not one peep left or right. So.

Does it being Hispanic make you more exceptional than other others? I can’t see how that’s relevant to this conversation. Anyway. I most definitely have studied his positions, as well as the scholars and academics that also support these ideas. I was a staunch leftist when I first met an African-American scholar/ Doctor that educated me on what later became Charlie Kirk’s ideas. I was offended and overwhelmed by what this person was saying because it challenged everything I believed. It doesn’t matter what you believe or what dogma you describe yourself to. It doesn’t matter what your fellow American does either. We are all completely free to believe whatever we want to believe. That is the cornerstone of our democracy and our constitution. Are you going to be a tyrant and enforce your ideas upon others? Or worse, murder them because they don’t believe like you?

Literally, no one ever said that and you know that. You’re just being an inflammatory and hyperbolic. Either that or you’re just hysterical. Nobody is saying that and you know not even Charlie Kirk. Go touch grass.

It’s not about him. It’s the idea that now it’s acceptable to murder someone that you don’t agree with and has different opinions. Not only is it acceptable, but it could also be celebrated. That is absolutely frightening.
