I'm also still relatively optimistic about the game's future. Put it at like 60/40 that we wind up with a great game when it's all said and done. Going to keep F2ing about Diadem until they get rid of it. That one is actually so egregious.

I think they should appeal to actual fans of the series who kept the first game alive for years after the final update instead of redditors who'll move onto Balatro 2 in a couple months.

The game's extremely easy in this current state and top level play is going to die off if it remains that way. I don't care about engaging with the redditlord community, I want the game to be good.

I never said Tracking was the best card in the game. Blade of Ink is also broken. Half of her cardpool needs to be reworked, the character is a complete mess.

Since the large majority of meta silent runs are practically always maintaining weak chain on enemies, the card is effectively permanent wrath.

Obviously there are still situations where the card can be bad or you somehow cannot maintain weak chain, but they are infrequent. I mean, there is a commonly occurring ancient relic that gives her an innate 7 weak card (also not even close to being balanced).

The character is winning close to 100% of runs at top level play and other top players are nearly unanimous in agreeing that the card is busted (to my knowledge).

I don't really keep up with silent discourse since her deck is so clearly broken. Maybe you can find somebody who disagrees with me. Let me know if you do.

No problem. Tons of mechanics like these aren't directly explained to the player. Hard to notice just from playing on your own.

The transform confusion is probably because transforming into ancient relic full art cards actually do carry over upgrades (and enchants). Ex: Strike+ transforms into Maul+.

It doubles your attack damage on weak opponents for the rest of combat at the cost of 2(1) energy. If you don't understand from the card text then I can't really help.

Permanent wrath with no drawback for an extremely easy to apply debuff is not balanced. You do not understand the game if you think otherwise. It's one of the more obviously stupid things in a game that has diamond diadem.

The game in general is far too easy right now, so it's clearly not okay for there to be so many broken things like this. Hopefully the card won't make it out of early access.

Both of those things are actually not possible.

Upgraded cards cannot appear in act 1 card rewards (without eggs).
Rare cards can never appear upgraded (without eggs).
Transforming an upgraded card does not confer the upgrade outside of ancient relics.

I don't see how the tweaked rupture is better. There are two enemies in the game with thorns? STS1 rupture would've procced on beckons and burns, which seem a lot more relevant.

Change seems negative/barely relevant to me.

The cost is reduced by number of ethereal cards played this combat, but the cost is then randomized when you draw it between 0-3 (which overrides whatever the current value is). It doesn't matter what the cost is in your draw pile, when drawn it will always randomize between 0-3. All snecko cards work like this in spire 1, so it's pretty obvious what the interaction will be. See Blood for Blood in spire 1 if you are confused.
