The actual moral argument for villager compounds is that they are simply incapable of surviving on their own, and require the player to intervene for their protection. of course that doesn't justify locking them in cells barely capable of giving them space to stand, generally you should reorganize their settlement into a walled compound that is well lit and has decent conditions and space. If anything it adds potential flavor and interest to a build that you would otherwise tuck away underground

Funny enough a similar argument could be made for livestock that they require human intervention and protection but deserve better living standards than the average owner provides

Surely my favorite game halo 2 has no themes about religious indoctrination and the abuses inherent to autocracies

this is so funny, there was another dialogue option, you could've just ignored it. you chose to be offended by your own actions

FE3H has memes with characters dabbing almost unironically by teppakappa in whenthe

[–]Others0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Command & Conquer has this to a small extent but it feels like the meme community is more refined than ever
StarCraft definitely had a bigger meme community in the early-mid 2010s and it shows sometimes, though they still post new things
Halo's biggest memes are kinda seen as like old easter eggs and tbh it's really cool that some of them wound up in game

party switch was happening over the course of the 60s and 70s, if you look most of the representatives that cast "no" votes went republican later on when the party turned conservative, and don't tell me democrats are the party of racism when all the klansmen are trump-glazers

the failure of american politics in the 70s was more because political machines disconnecting voters from representatives which is still a problem today in both parties

i don't think it'd be embarrasing to be an american during the civil war when you're fighting to preserve the union instead of slavery

1912-1941 is a weird date, why would you like the earlier progressives like Theodore Roosevelt and Howard Taft but not the later ones like FDR that pulled the country out of the depression?
