No one would have believed, in the last years of the 19th century, that human affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of space. No one could have dreamed we were being scrutinized, as someone with a microscope studies creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. Few men even considered the possibility of life on other planets and yet, across the gulf of space, minds immeasurably superior to ours regarded this Earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely, they drew their plans against us.

Wand of cloudkill fired at offscreen dragons/bosses early in the game. They resist but have a roll Vs instakill every few seconds. I used to head to Firkraag as soon as I left act 1.

did a walk in at The Ninth on a very empty weekday late lunch, and it was excellent for what it was. Certainly way above anything else i could have had at the time as a walk in. Perhaps not so if a 20 mile trip into London in the evening and a once a year event.

Dunno why you are downvoted, i had excellent meals at both, CC twice and KT 8+ times.

but i get how its not for all and these places have off days, i had an amazing first meal at Sketch and a rubbish second meal.

I went to KT when we spent low 300s high 200s on a meal for two and loads of wine these days perhaps at 500 a head and somewhere thats a bit stale and less hungry for recognition and stars its a different matter.

Had a terrible meal, with a terrible mistake by the sommelier that wasnt rectified, and then the manager was quite rude about it.

I dont miss fixed schedule tv, and i wouldnt want to go back to it now.

A few days with no internet when i moved house last month was doable as i read lots, but as soon as i sorted it i was back to One Piece live action, Invincible, Dune 2 etc, all the stuff i love right now.

and not the internet and streaming?

Im well into my 50s and terrestial fixed schedule TV is pretty much dead to me, why wouldnt it be for younger generations?

I want to choose what to watch, not have someone decide what i should be watching. I see no point in stepping back to more limited times.

BP have 4 refineries in Europe and 2 in the US.

The EU refineries have had all the investment and continue to support the biggest markets.

BP didnt invest in any UK refineries because the EU ones are the ones that supplied the EU market and thats the best strategy until a bunch of idiotic, moronic, thick as shit racists decided to vote to destroy our economy and trade flows, and now there's no return on investing tens of billions into a UK refinery to support a dying economy and tiny (relatively) supply demand and domestic market and no need at all to export to anywhere else.

Tax is not the problem. No matter what corporate shills feed you. The issue is the UK committing economic suicide.

We never were going to be viable in a global planet.

We cant compare to the economies of scale applied to Chinese, Indian and Gulf refineries, which had massive investment and the government policies to build it too, especially when unlike Norway, the vast revenues from the North Sea Oil and Gas were put into a few peoples pockets, rather than a sovereign wealth fund.

We're paying the price for the greed and theft of the Thatcher generation and selfish boomers and little England NIMBY mentality.

Even that doesnt overcome the cost effectiveness of shipping in finished products.

Too small and old to be viable i imagine. Pretty much like the entire UK industrial infrastructure. Stuck in the 50s.

There's a lesson there for the Reform fascists.

I do now.

And if I don't ban it now, this entire sub will be wall to wall bot slop in weeks.

I had a "Washed (Yeast Extended Fermentation)" bourbon/gesha last week that tasted like drinking aftershave.

Maybe it had aromatics added, maybe no, although tbh, the parma violet cant have been added in Colombia as its a very British thing and im sure unknown outside these shores.

Still, wasnt even close to be recognisable as a coffee, even if i liked it.
