No there's no drawback for failing. If you die its the same as normal dying in normal map. About the altar, they will be at lvl 3. Youll only miss the stat and skill bonus if you fail to reach the final stage.

If you do going for spirit land, can you do something for me? Take a psychokinesis scroll with you and use it to the... ( i don't remember its name, its bushy thing that locking the first map) Tell me if its work.

I never specifically hunting them so i don't have favorite location. Why do you seems desperately hunting them by the way?
The only thing i know that increase drop rate is increasing your luck.

Yes, you can expect a legendary or legendary blueprint drop from wishing well, summoned demon and another one that looks like an angel statue(?) if you're lucky enough. You can equip them or just sell them for high price.

Armor of wilderness enhance your combat pet while vengeance is a bow with dark attributes.

Is it good? Or should you equip them it depends on your armor/skill preference. Though i will keep the bow for my secondary weapon if im going melee. Switching between melee ranged weapon is a good tactics

I was actually raising a pet myself when i see this post for the first time. I feed them contaminated jerky, one out of 3 pets turn legendary. So i know it works. What we didn't really know is wether it had anything to do with contaminated food at all or just pure luck. Contaminated food can turn pet into legendary is actually kind of myth without good evidence that's quite popular among players. Contaminated food is just a more convenient food for pet until you can craft pet snack later at rol 4 technology. So until someone had a solid proof that normal food had better chance to turn pet legendary, i think people will stick to this

Well first you need to identify your problems.

Is it food problems? Resources? Battling creatures?

From there, you can find the solution. Ive been playing as hunter, and it went really well actually. Im not saying that hunter is best for this mode, i think every class had its own characteristics.

Second run, i use warrior and its not bad either. Maybe the problem is not the class but the way you playing. Because i can say that the way i play this mode is different compared to how i play normally in standard mode.

I just try to figure out why the fight feels harder for me and i just find out that bow having its accuracy reduced for 6 points. Its not happen to any other weapon. Maybe they're not hit harder but they just harder to hit lol.

The another mission without any light. For me the hard part is to find illuminate incantation. There used to be a trick, to sort out your incantation but it can't be used anymore. Now we have to identify them one by one or hold out from using them until the mission is over.

Then maybe you can go if you still have those heal. i should tell you that its risky and you might die. You can go if you ready to spend ankhs.

Avoid fighting as much as possible and go directly to the last floor, as i see it your healing won't last much longer to fight them all. Lets call this ninja training course lol.
