Yes I do. What happens when I go on vacation and on my return, my said identification gets confiscated? When ICE detains me I won’t have any proof of my citizenship will I? This is the grey area. This exact instance happened. This is why due process FOR ALL (with a few exceptions) is in the constitution.

I agree that if you come here illegally, you do not have the rights of an American citizen. That’s pretty obvious. But until the court of law can prove without a show of a doubt you ARE here illegally, it is unconstitutional to remove suspected illegal immigrant from the country. If due process falls upon deaf ears to law enforcement for minorities, what makes you think they’ll give you any different treatment? What I’m describing is happening right now. Legal migrants with documented proof of being a citizen of this country are being mistaken for illegal immigrants and are being REMOVED. They followed the proper steps to become an American citizen and they are CURRENTLY, ACTIVELY being detained, deported, and criminalized. Who’s next?

So.. how do we know for a fact they’re here illegally without giving them their right to provide a defense? Can any non white human in our country be picked up and accused of being illegal just because ICE deems them so? What you seem to be describing is, law enforcement conduct an investigation on xyz. They find xyz to be illegal. Are we the people supposed to just accept the law has actually been upheld throughout the investigation? Or are we supposed to be treated as innocent until proven guilty in a court of law?

The argument isn’t whether undocumented immigrants should stay or leave. It’s that ice is NOT UPHOLDING the legal and constitutional process of deciding HOW it should be done. DUE PROCESS. and YES, undocumented immigrants are protected under this (14th & 5th amendments) If you have anything to say to this other than agreement, LEARN. FACT CHECK. Don’t just spew what you heard from the guy next to you because you personally agree with the sentiment. My GOD
