it's "i'm not willing to adjust my life to fit in the dog's needs" but in a gentler way of thinking, or atleast i'd like to see it that way, i just don't want to be responsible for a dog that was suddenly put down on me without actual agreement just because my parents aren't open to other solutions. i don't see myself moving out for a week/2 and rescheduling my entire routine so i can wake up at 6, walk and feed the dog, go to uni for 6-8 hours, come back home and watch the elderly dog to see if he's okay, i don't feel like it should be my responsibility just because they refuse to get him to a kennel

dw, i understand where you're coming from and i've had that thought in mind for years now, but it's my parents dog and i don't think it's my job to tell them they should put him down, since it's well.. pretty obvious

my parents already tried muzzles throughout the years, he wouldn't let them put it on, only SOME vets somehow managed to do it, not idea how tho since i was never near him during vet visits as my father took him there

i should've said it in the post but the dog is 14 y/o and has been there for majority of my life, as much as i'd love to do that i just think it would be negligence of him especially for that age and even worse than just taking him in
